Chapter 1:

What It Means to Live Spiritually Fulfilled

Being happy is often misinterpreted in many ways. Spiritually is neither represented by happiness nor sadness. Often, we are disillusioned into thinking that once we accept salvation, all problems, everything we are struggling with just magically disappears. There is indeed completeness in Christ, but you have to believe it is so, exercise in faith, and grow in maturity, which takes time.

Most of the ways that the feeling of happiness is derived is not the product of true happiness but only a temporary feeling. One that comes from premature emotions merely occurring from adrenal and excitement.

People associate happiness with things like money, power, achieving dreams and goals, fame, and accomplishments, all of which have material connections and benchmarks.

Psalm 20:4–5 Is a Prayer for Fulfillment and Joy

That your heart's desire would come from God and would be granted by God. That your plans for your life would align with God's plans for your life, and may they be fulfilled. May the Lord fulfill all your petitions.

This scripture tells us that the true desires of your heart will be granted by God and that your plans will align with God’s plan.

The Basics

True happiness is when one is completely at peace mentally and physically in the spiritually fulfilled self. Being able to find contentment anywhere, anytime, and in anything is true happiness and spiritual fulfillment.

Philippians 4:12-13

12 I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
