To all the lonely souls in the world who have yet to learn that there is a kind and intentional God who loves them! As you read each page, may you become more fully convinced that He cares, and fall ever more deeply in love with your Creator!

Preface

I believe that as humans, we all long to be seen and known, to really feel heard and deeply loved. We want to know: Where do I come from? Why am I here? And do I really matter?

And we know (understand, recognize, are conscious of, by observation and by experience) and believe (adhere to and put faith in and rely on) the love God cherishes for us. God is love, and he who dwells and continues in love dwells and continues in God, and God dwells and continues in him. (1 John 4:16)

What if I told you that you are fully known and deeply loved? What if you understood that you and I were created by a God who is love? That we were intentionally fashioned with His own hand? What if you knew that He created you so that He could have a close, personal relationship with you? Would this news surprise you? Would you want to know more? I hope the answer to the last question is a resounding yes!

So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them. And God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it (using all its vast resources in the service of God and man);
