Lisa Locks
Lisa Locks is a mother of two beautiful adult children and their partners, Nanna to two gorgeous grandchildren, and a mum to her dog, Lock-key. Lisa also shares her house with many international students of different nationalities and borders and runs her own hairdressing business from home. There is never a dull moment in her house since there are a lot of people coming in and out every day. Lisa has always been in tune with her children and others. The realisation of how much love she has for children has inspired her to write a children's book, What's The Key To My Heart (2020).Lisa understands that every child is different and therefore believes that it is important to provide good, fundamental guidelines, and for each child to know that loving themselves is the key. Once they know that, everything else falls into place. Lisa's passion for helping children is evident through her fundraising activities, in particular, her support and donations to the River Jordan Orphanage in Kenya, Africa, the Leukemia Foundation and through her participation in the Greatest Shave campaign. Through the years of hardship of being divorced, raising her two children, and dealing with the constant juggling act of work, school-runs and sports activities that have kept her busy, Lisa has been able to grow as a person and gradually come to understand how to love herself with all her flaws. She has learned to love and accept herself and has become aware of and taken responsibility for her own decisions. Lisa's positive attitude and her own belief system, which she calls her 'key', underpins her ongoing motivation and commitment and allows her to reach for her dreams and goals. Perhaps it is Lisa's attitude to life that has enabled others to open up and share their own experiences with her while they are having their hair done. Over the years, Lisa has discovered that her chair becomes therapeutic as people feel comfortable to share their secrets and their stories. This became her inspiration for Secrets in The Chair. Lisa thanks all the authors who found the courage to share their secrets and hopes that their stories help and inspire everyone who reads them.Lisa's determination, even her little feistiness and frustrations, keeps her passion alive which allows her to love and enjoy every minute that she lives. Lisa aims to 'Live in my thoughts, my feelings and my behaviour - my words are my world.' With this powerful message, Lisa aspires to spread positive energy wherever she goes, thereby shaping future generations. Her motto is: Being kind is always on my mind.Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/lisa.froodInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/lisaslocks?igsh=M2IwMGRnN3h0enlj
