Legend has it that, as iron weapons and armor had fully spread across the Emerald Isle, the Fae began to fear. Since iron was deadly to them, they realized that their time in their beloved homeland was growing short. So, they began a migration to a new world across the western sea. 

 

The year is 1882. Lou O'Connor doesn't know who his parents were. He doesn't know why he seems to have abilities that are different from every other person he knows. He doesn't know why he has been alive nearly 150 years but appears to be a mature 17-year-old. He doesn't know that he is half-Fae. Living in the American Old West, he lives a lonely, wandering life as he follows his quest to discover who and what he is. 

 

But, Lou has a complication that he doesn't know about. Over two thousand years earlier, as iron weapons and armor began to engulf the old world in Ireland, the Fae chose to migrate to a new world, which we now know as America. Primitive humans already lived in the land, and an oath of the Fae Prince constrained the Fae to live with the humans in anonymous peace. The Fae were viewed as the "Old Ones" by the primitive humans. However, a rogue Fae Lord chafes at the hidden, subservient role that the Fae in the New World must live, and plans an uprising that will shift the balance of power. And, as part of that uprising, he plans to purge all human blood from the New World. 

 

Lou unknowingly crosses paths with this Fae Lord, and, without understanding the depth of the conflict, must end it. What begins as an attempt to save the ranch belonging to the granddaughter of Lou's once-best friend from a range war turns into a conflict that will determine the future of an entire continent.

KT Irons wrote his first novel at the age of 15 for a teenage novelist contest. He didn't win. Unfortunately, no copies of that novel survive. But the concept behind that novel still exists as an upcoming series. The WestFae series is actually the second series he started, but the first to reach publication. KT has been an accountant, a purchasing agent, an employment recruiter, the Director of a software development organization, and a social media marketer. He's finally settled on his love of writing. For fun, he's a musician. He performed a concert tour through Europe as a sax player and used to have a great singing voice. He's also an adventurer and has lived as a full-time RVer, traveling across the US Continent. He currently lives with his wife in Provo, Utah.
