Pursuit and Peril in a Changing World

Liv had dreamed of being a nurse or a detective for as long as she could remember, but she eventually settled on a job in her government agency to find people who had vanished without a trace. She had worked in the missing person department of her local government since she dropped out of high school at age 16 and never looked back. She was now 35 years old, childless, and single. When the COVID-19 epidemic hit, however, everything changed.

Liv’s passion for helping others had always been at the core of her being. It was the driving force that had led her down the path of nursing and had kept her going for over two decades. But the pandemic had turned her world upside down. Liv was no stranger to hardship and adversity, having weathered many storms. But this was different – an invisible enemy threatening everything she held dear.

Liv watched as the world around her changed, as hospitals overflowed with patients and healthcare workers struggled to meet the demand.
