WHY ARE GOD'S JUDGEMENTS ON ISRAEL SEVERE?
Travel back in time to the Old Testament age to better understand just how often God's chosen people broke His heart with spiritual infidelity, and what that means for the future of Israel.
Benjamin E. Dock Jr.
My life's work has been spent in several technical trades: sales, tool and die, machine building, apprenticeship trainer, college instructor in skilled industries. Becoming aware of the many elements used in secular work made it seem a bit uncanny that God had used these in creating our bodies. These elements come from many places of God's creative acts to form His just desires to envelope Himself to such a degree that He would provide His own Son to redeem us and lift us up to be kings and priests until Him. How He favored us over His angels is beyond comprehension.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
FOREWORD
This is my third book to be published. The first was The Four Horses of the Apocalypse. The second book was titled Dust to Dust; both books were sold on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and other major bookstores.
This third book is called Why Are God’s Judgments on Israel Severe? The people, Jewish, Gentile, or today’s Church, who desire a study of the Lord’s treatment of Israel can find the many elements of sinful practices that terminated God’s blessing on Israel as today’s blessings to be granted in our Bibles. You will find the explanations and scriptures to the reason why God has turned to a REMNANT to ultimately bring all the promised blessings upon Abraham’s children. These blessings are for a multitude as the stars of the sky and will not be fulfilled until the New Heavens and earth appear. These are programed to take place after the millennial reign of Christ and the great white throne judgment bar of God. Of course, according to the Apostle Peter, this universe will pass away with great noises, and after God descends on the New Jerusalem leaving this universe it will become the lake of fire forever enclosed on all sinful mankind, evil demons, Satan, and his one third of the angels and evil locusts.
I hear no prophetic word of this type from today’s church or Jewish leaders. All they want to claim is like the Old Testament reasoning of the priests and leaders of Israel who killed the prophets for prophesying ill unto them. My searching for the real truth of God concerning their future is not spelled out like they desire. The claim that this earthly Jerusalem is forever doesn’t jive with the scriptures.
Secondly, the determination since the first century closed on the New Testament Church showing Melchizedek as only a great man is also a diatribe of doctrine to limit the Lord as the Most High God and Priest who is the only one who can forgive sins is adverse to the Catholic and Jewish priest. Melchizedek or EL ELYON is identified as possessor of heaven and earth in its beginning or preincarnate Christ, and Jesus was made after the order of High Priest Melchizedek found in the book of Hebrews, who further is identified as Jesus Christ.
ENDORSEMENT
ENDORSEMENT STATEMENT:
As an FYI: When I endorse more than one book for a writer, it is often standard protocol to keep the endorsements similar. So, the endorsement offered for this book will have some similar overtones to the other endorsement I offered for Four Horsemen, with, of course, various caveats changed to accommodate this particular writing.
With over fifty-five years of ordained ministry in the Assemblies of God, Rev. Ben Dock, born to devout Nazarene parents in Indiana, became known as a stellar preacher and faithful apostolic leader and church planter. Deep study of God’s Word leads Bro. Dock to yet another rich gift to the Church, this book, Why Are God’s Judgments on Israel Severe?
From detailed examination of God’s blessing on Israel, the correct and incorrect views of all within, to why God has turned to a remnant for these blessings, to scriptural unsung heroes and intricate details of unique characters within the scriptures, Dock offers rich insights and transforming biblical truths. His work with Paul’s missionary journey, Zechariah, Hosea, Job, Amos, Isaiah, Obadiah, and more are worth the price of admission. This work is a treasure of resources for the pastor-evangelist offering detailed insights to the church of the first century, and more! I highly recommend this one to be added to your library.

My wife, Erna June Vester Dock, went on to be with our Lord in 2015. We were converted in the New Castle Assembly in 1951, filled with the Holy Spirit and called into ministry. I earned my BA degree in 1955 at the Central Bible College, Springfield, Missouri. We ministered in the Olive Street Rescue Mission for seven years, five years as associate pastor and two years as senior pastor. I worked as floor manager in two different plumbing companies in Springfield.
Leaving Missouri, we wound up in Versailles, Kentucky, pastoring Mortonsville Assembly, the second oldest Assembly in the state. I worked as a master tool maker for about 16 years at the Texas Instruments company in that town. Note: I was part of the team that manufactured the first T. I. handheld calculator in 1972. After nine years of ministry in Versailles we moved to Georgetown, Kentucky, in 1966 to plant the Trinity Assembly of God Church. Upon upgrading a large home to hold a cafeteria, Sunday school rooms, etc. we then built the sanctuary. Upon completion of the sanctuary, we resigned and in 1975 we left Kentucky, transferred to the Tennessee Assembly of God District, and planted a church in Sparta.
With the church built in Sparta, we transferred back to the Kentucky District, pastoring the Bethel Temple in Lexington, Kentucky. I then worked at Central Technical College, teaching machine tool technology in a vocational setting for approximately 20 years. We left Bethel and moved to Princeton to pastor the First Assembly of God church. After successful ministry there, we went back to Lexington, Kentucky to plant the New Life Assembly. Upon resigning from New Life, it later merged with the Heritage Assembly of God. Heritage, led by my special friend, Pastor Garoll Finch, has now sold the property we grew as New Life and purchased a defunct True-Life church, whose beginning name was Faith Assembly years ago, with the proceeds.
My last pastorate was in 2003; after that the Lord began to inspire me to write various articles and several people, hearing of those, wanted to come and study with me, so they did. After compiling several articles, I was led to build a manuscript to be published called The Four Horses of the Apocalypse. After that I authored a book called Dust to Dust. They are available at all major bookstores.
DEDICATION
In 2016 I moved from a large home in Winchester, Kentucky and purchased a smaller home in Georgetown, Kentucky. At that time, I assembled a grouping of my articles I had been teaching with to be published as The Four Horses of the Apocalypse. Now attending Georgetown Trinity Assembly that my wife and I had planted, I received a message from Jerry Davis and his wife Marilyn, who had been singing with a trio in the church. He invited me to dinner with the rest of the trio. He desired me to teach them my book. I accepted the invitation, asking them if they wanted me to teach the Revelation Chart or the whole thing. They said the whole thing. Several months later we approached the end.
Time passed to sometime this spring, 2023. Jerry called my home to visit with me. He told me he wanted to finance my new book. A few weeks later he had the trio and a few others from Trinity Assembly back to dinner again and at the time reiterated that he was anxious to finance my new book. He called my home later and reminded me he wanted to be sure I called him for the financing of the book.
To Jerry and Marilyn, I dedicate this book, which may not have been published without their great love and help for me.
This trio of three couples was made up of Jerry and Marilyn Davis, Teddy and Betty Porter, and Tom and Loaetta Reddington. The singers were Jerry, Betty, and Loaetta and their professional name is Anchored Hearts.
The Bible study and following them to various places they were singing endeared my heart and life to these three very special people. Loaetta also sang such beautiful renditions of special solos. I owe them so much, and include them in this dedication of my book. In their singing, they traveled often to Ohio, Tennessee, Kentucky, and as far away as Alabama. Based in Georgetown, Kentucky, they ministered in blessings and song to the Trinity Assembly of God congregation. I recently was surprised to hear an old tape as Teddy and Betty played on guitar and Teddy on banjo challenging each other with Dueling Banjos.
Also, Tom was playing the Old Jug.
It was wonderful!
WHY ARE GOD’S JUDGMENTS ON ISRAEL SEVERE?
INTRODUCTION:
Before any person or student begins a study of the book of Revelation, he or she should attempt to understand the significance of the judgments that stack up against Israel. Unless this is settled in one’s mind, it makes the study difficult to understand and reconcile our own thoughts about it. We are tempted to follow what the world desires or thinks, rather than
