    Pasha: The youngest son of the Baharmast's noble family

    Marvast: usurer and an old family acquaintance

    Faren: Bardia's fiancée and love

    Servants, companions, and other people who come and go from time to time.

    Act I

    The First Scene

    [An old and large house in Tehran, that Valuable old paintings are installed on it's walls, a little silence; the usurer man comes from the back door, hesitates a little, sits down on an old leather chair, gently touches the ancient statue, then gets up, and looks at the house with longing]

    Marvast:

    That's enough, that's enough

    [The Servant comes to the room, takes a look, and leaves, then Pasha comes and stands on the door frame; Marvast is still stunned by the painting, who suddenly goes back]

    Pasha:

    Marvast:
