Once upon a time there was five boys who each from different ages, different backgrounds and from different places, these boys are so gifted in so many ways and come from humble beginnings to become a successful boy band in the world, oh and did I forget to mentioned not only gifted in singing but gifted with superpowers! And that day they met was on April 20, 1993, but first we start with the boys’ histories, first we have Kevin Scott Richardson aka Kevy Kev and Train, he’s the eldest member of the group and was born October 3, 1971, at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky to his father Jerald Wayne Richardson, Sr. (1942-1991), an outdoorsman, military veteran, construction worker, fireman, camp manager and handyman and his mother Ann C. Richardson (nee Littrell) (1943-2022), homemaker, and also he is the youngest of 3 sons, he has an eldest brother Jerald Wayne, Jr. and an older brother Tim Richardson. Kevin was raised on a 10-arce farm with his family and then later lived in a log cabin for 9 years at the Cathedral Domain Camp in Irvine, Kentucky, is a church-owned youth camp which his father ran as a camp counselor and also he came from a family with super abilities, for instance, his father Jerald has *enhanced agility/reflexes and expert marksman, lethal sniper skills and tracker, his mother Ann has the power of *Alchemy (means she can change objects to shapes and other things), his eldest brother Jerald, Jr. has *Typhokinesis & Smoke manipulation (he can manipulate and control smoke) and his older brother Tim has *Jactitation (means he can absorb kinetic energy and use it to be immune to becoming immobilized), but sadly Kevin didn’t get his powers yet, maybe because he’s too young or probably be a late-bloomer. Kevin spends most of his childhood in the outdoors and riding horses when he was 4 and while growing up he loved dirt bikes and horse riding and then going into high school he starts going into sports, like playing football and he also the captain of his team called the Estill Engineers, but most of all he loved music and he start learning how to play the piano by ear when he was 9 years old when he was in the mess hall at camp he saw the piano and would start to play around with it and start to play some notes when his father heard him playing, he was amazed by him and his mother told him two weeks before he was born her and his father went to the Ike & Tina Turner concert in 1971 and she would feel him moving around in her womb because of the vibrations of the music playing, she said it was like he was dancing in her belly I guess that’s where he got his love of music comes from and when he was 4 years old he would play one of his parents’ records by using headphones and lying on the living room floor just listening to the music and when a little older he would pretend singing with his hairbrush while listening to the radio and at camp his use to play air guitar out in the woods and pretend the trees are his fans or audience and he would shout out in the woods to hear his echoes reflect back. While in high school he had two steady girlfriends, he dated Christi Ore for three years since he was 15, and Kristy Flynn, a more serious adult relationship, and they were the golden couple until 1990. He sang in a church’s choir and was part of the community and doing high school theatre and after graduating from Estill County High School in 1989, he started working summer jobs at Pizza Hut and tobacco farms while working at the cathedral domain and he was going to join the U.S. Air Force to be a pilot, but he was torn between doing music and acting, so he chose to go to New York to pursue his dream of acting, he was doing school plays by his acting teacher and mentor Kathie Bettler (died in 2013) who always encouraged him to try acting. In 1990 he moved to Florida and show his musical talent as a piano player at a local restaurant and being doing different odd jobs, and working in Disney World, as a tour guide for tourists and he played and dressed in Disney characters, like Aladdin and Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid, also a ninja turtle Leonardo, Tigger from Winnie the Pooh and Goofy, he taught Latin and ballroom dancing. When he was 19, he started dating an older woman named Beth, who was 25, after the met on the beach. It was love at first sight, even though she was six years older than him, and then a year later, they got engaged when he was 19, but they eventually broke off the engagement because they both felt they were too young for marriage, plus Beth fell in love with someone else and broke his heart, Kevin believes he has depended on her too much since losing his dad in 1991. But sadly, while Kevin was away his family called him and told him about his father was diagnosed with colon cancer and he did go into surgery to remove the tumor in his stomach but it didn’t do the trick because the cancer was already spread through his entire body, so he was getting his chemotherapy treatment but it was producing blood clots that he suffer a stroke, and after a 2-year battle with it became terminal and he was dying and by hearing that it was very devastating to him that the man he looked up to all his life as a friend and mentor was dying, he even said he was very angry that he felt his father was cheated of his golden years before his retirement and he had to come back home to say his final goodbye to him. On August 26, 1991, his father Jerald, Sr. only lived for 10 months after his diagnosis and passed away at age 49 and while grieving he spent the whole year with his family and during the winter the snow doesn’t stop falling and it being to covered the whole house, even to whole town till is up to 6 feet and the temperature gets colder that everything freezes or frozen, but no one wonder why is it happening, this power is *Cryokinesis (means he can turn anything into cold, solid ice) and then when spring was almost here during Kevin’s grief his mother told him it’s time to move with his life and pursue his music career and told him everything will be fine, so Kevin starts to move on and then all of a sudden the snow stops falling completely and everything starts to melt for the spring, as so Kevin goes back to Florida and find an apartment so he can lived and stay to pay rent, he has other powers like *Snow/Winter manipulation (means he can shape and manipulate snow, precipitation in the form of flakes of crystalline water ice). Seven years later, Kevin still misses his dad in many ways, especially during the holidays, which were always happy times for the Richardson family, his father had encouraged him to pursue his interested in music, although he wanted to join the Air Force to be a pilot, but his father believed it was important that his son can do whatever he wanted to do, which is probably where Kevin gets his philosophy about pursuing one’s dream. As Kevin moves forward and lives his life, he thinks of his dad and tries the do things that would make him proud, he said as longs he do what makes him happy without sacrificing his moral, and follow what he was brought up to believe, he’ll be proud. In honor of his late father Kevin dedicated U.S. CD to him, he wrote the last part of his thanks in the liner notes about his father’s death in a heartfelt way that clearly shows Kevin’s continuing love and respect of his father that he sorely misses by calling him the greatest man he would ever know, he said If I can be half a man you were as a father, a husband and as a friend, then I will consider myself to be successful. And there’s another member of the Backstreet Boys and happens to be Kevin’s cousin his name is Brian Thomas Littrell aka B-Rok, aka Frick was born on February 20, 1975 at 1:37 a.m. at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky to his father Harold Baker Littrell, Jr. (who is the brother of Kevin’s mom, Ann Richardson), an employee at IBM and his mother Jacqueline Rhea Jackie Littrell (nee Fox) a dentist’s secretary, and a older brother Harold Littrell III (Jan. 24, 1972), when he was born with a congenital heart condition, making him susceptible to infections and was diagnosed with a heart murmur and a hole in his heart at 6 weeks old and he grew up in a protective, religious Baptist family and also his family has powers, too!. His dad Harold has *Technokinesis (means has the ability to control technology) Technopathy (means he can interact, communicate and manipulate technology with his mind) since he works at a computer company and his mom Jackie has Molecular combustion (means she has a power to make molecules speed up to the point that objects or beings explodes) & Molecular acceleration (means she can make molecules reverberate at speed which causes the object to rapidly heat up) and his brother Harold III has *Electrokinesis (means he can control electricity & any electronics with his mind, has the ability to channel electricity in & out of his body, can absorb electricity from any object that has electrical energy) *Cyberpathy (means he can interact, communicate and manipulate cyber technology with his mind) *Lightning Bolt (means he repeatedly fire a bolt of electrical energy through his hands, this bolt passed a current through any target, stunning or kill his enemies, blow up cars and charge up electrical devices like substations & electrify bodies of water) *Electromagnetic shockwave (means he can create powerful electromagnetic waves able to deflect several objects like cars and grenades in a different directions, which he can use for defensive and offensive measures & this allow him to propel individuals into the air for a prolonged time, while others give his shockwave the ability to use static discharges that bounce off of individuals & nearby conductors) *Electric conductivity (means he can generate and conduct electricity through his body, created or not, and discharge it through conductive media metal, water, etc). Also, he and Kevin came from a lineage of family of music and with superpowers, starting with his paternal grandparents Harold Baker Hollywood Littrell, Sr. (March 12, 1920-Jan. 14, 2003), who was a barbershop quartet and has the power of *Superhuman strength and his grandmother Ena Begley Littrell (died Dec. 24, 2011) who was an gospel singer and has *Precognitive dreaming and his maternal grandparents (Jackie’s parents), Robert Reed Fox (died July 2016) was an army veteran and P.O.W. in World War II, who has *Molecular dispersion (means he has the power to destroy the target by reducing it to its constituent molecules by giving them massive amounts of energy which forces them to scatter) and Mae Milton has *Molecular deceleration (means she can slow down molecules, causing individuals or objects to have a delayed motion). Brian lived a fairly normal life until he was five years old he was playing outside and he fell and skinned his knee, then about two weeks later when he was playing at his grandparents’ house riding his Big Wheel he tipped over and hit his head pretty hard on the concrete, his parents was afraid he might have a concussion so they take him to the hospital to get check. But suddenly he became very sick, very pale and very weak because he found out that he had a bacterial staph infection and it went into his blood, he didn’t have the strength so was being pushed around in a wheelchair. Over the next couple of months in the hospital he had a great deal of time with high fevers sometimes as high as 107 and his heart stopped several times and the doctors had to place him in ice baths to cool his fever down and shock his heart back pumping. Things weren’t looking good and the doctors were positive that Brian was going to die because this disease that he had was fatal and he had zero chance of living and that’s why they told his parent to make funeral arrangments for him. Then a miracle happened, eventually, the infection starts to slowly left his body and his fever went down and he was released from the hospital several months after he entered and because of the extent of the hospital stay Brian was forced to restart first grade. Then his mother said to him when he was about 10 or 11 years old she to Brian that when he was in the hospital she was holding you for dear life, because she wanted to keep him here with her so bad… your my baby and I needed you. She finally realized what God has different means and she realized that he was a blessing in her life and that she have to let him go if it was his time. Then years later he went to Tates Creek High School and started to sing in a high school choir when his choir teacher Barry Turner points him out about his singing voice and he was amazed and he advised
