The faint rustling of the undergrowth and movement in the air was all that signalled the approach of the gentle giant. The morning mist cleared like a stage curtain to reveal the full magnificence of the king. Rohigh, the bull elephant, was king of a secret jungle kingdom, hidden in the heart of Africa. He was a descendent of Yarwi, the father of the great elephants. As a son of Yarwi, his responsibility was to protect all the animals that lived there. It was Yarwi’s will for the kingdom to be a peaceful place. Rohigh wanted more than anything to fulfil this purpose. Despite his size and strength, he sometimes felt weak in spirit and wondered if he was worthy enough to faithfully continue Yarwi’s legacy.
