    Dear Diary,

My name is Dean, and I’ve just gotten back from the best adventure of my life. Of course, it was the only adventure of my life, but it was still crazy good. I have wanted to be a paranormal/monster investigator ever since I knew what one was. I never really had time for adventure because my parents raised me in a very sheltered way. I was never allowed to go on adventures, so I snuck out as soon as I had the chance. My parents weren’t so pleased about leaving without telling them, so now I’m grounded, but that’s not super exciting to write about.

What I did on my adventure was the exciting part. I got together an expert team--a.k.a a group of neighborhood kids that were interested in getting away from their parents for a month. We had the monster-hunter in training, Blair; the hardcore guy on a path towards revenge, Fontaine; a girl who went from scared all of the time to the bravest member of the group, Emily; a fat ocelot with sharp teeth, Chunky; and the leader of the team, me.

I wanted to investigate ghosts, but I wasn’t sure that there were any ghosts around. I knew of one creature that was pretty close to a ghost, though a Ghast. The only problem was that Ghasts only lived in the Nether, as far as I knew, and the Nether wasn’t a safe place to go alone. The team and I started to make our way to the Nether, only to have Emily get kidnapped by an Enderman and taken to The End.

We went to the Nether anyway to practice our fighting skills. Once we defeated three major monsters, we left the Nether and went to The End to save Emily. Emily had gotten tough while in The End, and she hardly needed our help, but we needed hers. The only way to get out of The End is to kill an Ender dragon. We all teamed up to fight it and then we returned home.

Now we’re at home, waiting for the next big thing. I’ve recently heard about something called a Herobrine. It
