Nencho, Nencho wake up! A young man felt something jammed into his side.

Nencho, covered in head to toe with soot and machine grease, blinked his eyes in the darkness. He tried to picture the interior of his walking tank. He felt his hand around, grabbing the bolts holding the steel hull together.

Nencho, you're sitting on my leg! The young man heard a deep voice behind him.

Sorry Zhivko, I must have dozed off. Nencho slid off the thick leg of his friend.

Hah, don’t worry about it. I didn’t notice till I woke up. Nencho felt Zhivko pat his head, missing his shoulder in the pitch black.

Finally you two are awake. Nencho heard a weak, unimposing voice deep inside the tank.

He looked over his shoulder and saw the gaunt, stubbly face of his friend illuminated by light shining through the cannon scope.
