I dedicate and thank my Father God for the gift he has blessed me with to write and to share with others. These pearls of wisdom and inspiration are just a small portion of what lives inside of us.

Reflections of the Inner Spirit is dedicated to the loving memory of my grandmother, Mrs. Mozelle Roderick Washington. She taught me to be a respectful, strong and committed Christian woman; and to always place God first in my life. I’m blessed to be apart of the legacy our matriarch set for our family.

Thank you to my parents, Robert J. and Minnie O. Bee, for their love, guidance, and support throughout my life. They have taught me that building my foundation on the Word of God will establish my feet on the path set before me.

Introduction

People helping people is what life is all about. It can take the form of encouraging, mentoring, or just being a sounding board. In this book, you find words of life that have a voice. We release so many emotions on a daily basis. Reading poetry brings such a peaceful and calming release to any emotion that has been bottled up. Once released, emotions become free as you put pen to paper.

As women, we take on many roles such as nurturer, motivator, and listener. People look for us to be there when they are in need. You will find many of the emotions that we experience ourselves or with them. When all is said and done, we do love to be needed.

As you read
