The book is amazing. It shows love and support, also things you wouldn’t expect that relationships go through. Learning the value of being part of love and doing things you don’t want to but will because love has been placed in one’s heart. God will send you through trials and tribulations only to manifest a testimony. LaVetta’s story has really taken a toll on my life with this book. Being an author myself, I never understood the concept of true love, but LaVetta shows interest and willingness! Although going through trials, she still stands tall and loves her family like no other! I am greatly appreciative of this book and her as a person. Thank you, LaVetta Hankins-Price, for an amazing read.

As I am a staunch supporter of all women worldwide, I could not pass up the opportunity to openly support LaVetta and her amazing book. As I read her manuscript, I could feel her passion, fire, and desire to share her untold truth about how she freed her mind and broke the invisible chain of EMOTIONAL DEPENDENCY.

Several years ago, we met LaVetta while on a business trip for our Financial Literacy Education Program filming in Las Vegas. Throughout our stay I had many conversations with her about life, I did not know she was going through a rough period in her life at that time. When my wife (Robbie) and I flew back home to Chicago, I knew we had met a wonderful woman.

Fast forward to September of 2021. Out of the clear blue sky, my wife received a text message from LaVetta. She was asking for some professional feedback. Thus, our relationship was rekindled, and our friendship picked up right where it left off. So, why am I sharing this story with you? Because this book is about layers of emotional baggage that women carry around for years. They struggle with lightening their dependency. Many women stay silent because of their fear of being stigmatized from experiencing the social fall from grace if they expose their hurt and pain associated with mental and verbal abuse. LaVetta had a similar story until this tell-all must-read, book was written.
