About this ebook
Shiva's attributes include impetuosity, generosity, and gullibility. People say Shiva is so eager to serve his devotees that he overlooks his safety. He hinders no one—not even demons. As quickly as he can be angry, he can also be appeased. On the other hand, Vishnu's shrewdness and ability to manipulate all situations consistently put him in control. As a result, Vishnu saved Shiva, and Shiva expressed his gratitude to him.

Avatars of Shiva - Henry Romano
THE LEGEND OF SHIVA
Bhasmaka, a demon who wanted to rule the world, once existed. Tapasya was his way of propitiating Lord Shiva. After years of severe austerities, Shiva granted the devil any boon he desired. With only one thought, Bhasmaka said, Grant me the boon that anyone on whose head I place my hand will disappear instantly.
Because his name means ashes, he might have asked for this strange boon. Shiva, known for his love of his devotees, granted the boon without considering its consequences. By placing his hand on his benefactor's head, the demon decided to test out the efficacy of the boon in true asuric fashion! Before Shiva realized his intentions, he took two steps forward. Bhasmaka, hot on his heels, forced Shiva to move quickly. Vishnu helped Shiva after he rushed to Vaikunta. When the advancing demon held his hand aloft in eager anticipation of the kill, Vishnu took on the form of Mohini, the temptress of all the worlds. He forgot about his intentions and asked Mohini to marry him when she blocked his way. In apparent shyness, Vishnu, the arch delusion that can entice the entire universe with his might, looked coyly at the lusty demon.
The only individual who can defeat me in the art of dancing will receive my noble favor. I am an expert dancer. Infatuated, Asura responded, despite his graceful
appearance. The damsel replied, Very good.
. She struck a few poses. Follow them as closely as possible. I concur!
the demon exclaimed. However, I beg you to keep it brief, as I must quickly gather you in my arms!
Their secret Mohini smile spread across her face. It took her only a short time to strike pose after pose without wasting a moment. He managed to control his ardor and tried to imitate her as best as he could, but she looked so stunning in these gorgeous, statuesque poses that Bhasmaka couldn't bear to look away from her. Her beauty captivated him, making it difficult for him to focus on her actions. Mohini placed her right hand on her head and struck a pose. Without thinking, Bhasmaka followed suit, reducing herself to ashes.

Agniswara and Markandeya
A long time ago, there was an unmarried Brahmin named Mrikandu. In a prayer to Lord Shiva, he and his wife wished for a son. In their dream, an unknown figure asked, Would you prefer a high-achieving child who will die at sixteen, or a long-living fool and foolhardy with no brains?
Choosing the noble child was a difficult decision for the parents. They inherited a truly exceptional child. There was awe and delight in the eyes of everyone who saw him was awestruck and delighted. They were amazed and delighted. As the child grew older, he noticed that his parents always overprotected him. Finally, he asked them why they were so anxious, and they explained it to him.
According to the boy, Lord Shiva is the source of mortality and immortality. If we pray to him, will he not grant us immortality? Didn't he grant you your dream of having a son?
The young boy's faith amazed his parents. They encouraged him to worship the linga in their small temple every day. According to the prescribed method, the boy faithfully worshipped the linga. It was finally his sixteenth birthday. However, the child was not concerned about leaving his parents' sight. As usual, he accompanied his anxious parents to the family temple. He saw Yama, the Lord of Death, striding beside him with the noose.
During the boy's run toward the linga, Shiva's linga sprouted with every step, blocking the path of death. In the temple, the boy grabbed the linga tightly with both hands. He swung his noose around the boy, entangling both the child and the linga as he clutched it.
He cried out in terror, O Shambho! I need your help! I need your help! There is no one to help me!
The Lord came out of the linga and spoke to him immediately. Then, turning to Yama, he gently said, O Yama!
Do not fear death. It is now possible for you to return to your abode. You arrived at the right time to perform your duty, as the child had only sixteen years left to live. You can accept that I've completed the task. It's now my turn.
The Lord bowed to Yama and exclaimed, O Lord! You have given me mortality and immortality. Your role is to create, preserve, and destroy.
It is a matter of obeying your commands," he said. After saying
