About this ebook

When we hear verses about being chosen by God, we get all excited. We are chosen by God, himself! The creator of the universe has chosen us as his own! We are a special people, we are set apart, a holy nation…. I could go on and on. But the recurring theme in this narrative which often fails to receive due emphasis is this: we are chosen or appointed for HIS purpose; to do as HE wishes.

Nadia Valentin is a highly anointed and unique vessel of the Lord. She is the wife of Bishop J.Z. Valentin and is the mother of three beautiful children, Jó-Hannah, Joël, and Jahël Zion. Though she stands alongside her husband in the pastoral aspects of ministry, Nadia is a prophetess in her own right and has been used in the prophetic realm since the tender age of fifteen.

    DEDICATION

This book is dedicated to my beautiful mother, Naomi C. Lindor (October 1934–March 2020).

My mom was a cook. She spent 80 percent of her time in the kitchen. These recipes are to commemorate her. They are quick and easy. Please use and enjoy them. My mom never measured anything, so please adjust the seasoning as you see fit, or use your own.

Mom, what I wouldn’t do to see you today, to hug you and to say I love you one more time. You were the center of my joy, and I was yours. We complimented each other in every way. I was a terrible tease, and you were an easy target. I was moody, and you were patient. I was independent, and you were tolerant. I was a blabbermouth, and you were observant. But one thing is for sure, you loved me and I love you! You loved me enough to forfeit your life. Though I would have done the same for you, you would not allow me to. You taught me what it means to be chosen. I am almost certain that you chose me and I chose you. Thank you for loving me! Love you always!

    WALK ON

    Roy H. Cantrell

    Be still.

    Be silent.

    Let doubt go.

    God is in control.

    Walk on!

    Be at peace.

    It is done.

    Let go of fear.

    Let God be God.

    Walk on!

    Free It.

    Faith is active.

    Let it go.

    Turn it loose.

    Walk on!

    Release it.

    Don’t fleece it.

    Believe it.

    See it.

    Walk on!

God said Moses, "The Lord shall fight for you,

and you shall hold your (peace) be silent."

    FOREWORD

This book was many years in the making and is a product of Nadia’s journey to becoming a woman of God.

Since we met, she’s had a divine passion owing to the women of the Bible. Searching far and wide and teaching of the obscure women of the Bible, she followed the path least traveled. She saw things in their lives as though she was present during their lifetime, and she has shared what other books about biblical women have not shared or seen nor had the audacity to expose to the body of Christ.

I believe that you will enjoy this journey of research, revelation, and application through the eyes of this servant of God, just as I have. Bon appétit!

    Bishop J. Z. Valentin, PhD

    ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

Special thanks to my children, Jó-Hannah, Joël, and Jahël Valentin, and my wonderful husband, Bishop J. Z. Valentin. This book would not be possible without your help.

Thanks to my sister, Winnie Pierre, for believing in me, and Vision Ministries for allowing me to teach and reveal what I’ve learn from the women in the Bible.

    INTRODUCTION

We all have heard the verses about being chosen or appointed by God.

But you are a chosen race, A royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for god’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. (1 Peter 1:9 ESV; emphasis added)

In Him we also have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things in accordance with the plan of His will. (Ephesians 1:11 NASV)

Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him In love. (Ephesians 1:4 NASV)

He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will. (Ephesians 1:4–5 NIV)

No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day. (John 6:44 NASB)

And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28 NASB)

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10 NASB)

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. (John 15:16 ESV)

When we hear these verses, we get all excited. We are chosen by God Himself! The creator of the universe has chosen us as His own! We are a special people, we are set apart, a holy nation … I could go on and on. But the recurring theme in this narrative that often fails to receive due emphasis is this: we are chosen or appointed for His purpose; to do as He wishes.

You are not chosen because you are good nor are you chosen to do only good and honorable things. Second Timothy 2:21 (NIV) says, Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work. Vessels are chosen for many reasons and for many uses. Some vessels are chosen as decoration to be put on a shelf, while others are chosen to bring in water to wash the bathroom floor. They are both chosen, but for different purposes.

Before you were born, God had a plan for you: a well-planned-out life. God knew from before the beginning
