Becoming a Wizard in the Primordial Era - Yu Shu Shu

Chapter 1: Transmigrating to the Tribe and Becoming a Shaman

    So tired...

Wu Yu slowly opened his eyes.

He saw several unfamiliar faces that were as dark as pitch, with very large faces and bloodstains stuck to them. Their mouths were also very large, and they were gasping for breath, accompanied by a foul stench of halitosis.

The faces of these people were filled with anxiety. They were bare-chested, and their bodies were covered in varying degrees of wounds. Their skin and flesh were lacerated, and blood was seeping out. They all wore a string of beast teeth around their chests and had a lifelike tattoo of a soaring dragon with bared fangs and claws and flames under its feet.

When Wu Yu had just woken up, he had thought that it was real at first glance.

Their hair was disheveled, and there were also traces of blood on it. It was stuck together, and beads of sweat the size of soybeans were dripping down their foreheads. A few drops of sweat even landed in his mouth and tasted salty.

Wu Yu quietly moved his body backwards and raised his hand to block the sweat that was about to fall on his face. However, he found that his hands were as red as blood and thin as skin and bones.

Wu Yu instinctively concluded that these were definitely not his own hands, and then he realized that his clothes had changed too. He was bare-chested, and his lower body was wrapped in a piece of soft beast skin.

He also felt a sense of emptiness and suspension, as if he was not wearing any underwear.

There was a strong stench of blood in his mouth that made him want to vomit, and his body felt like it was on fire and was completely red.

Oh, oh, yo mu ya, wa hey lao wu ah.

A young man with the most and largest beast teeth on his chest. He had the fewest injuries, and the color of his tattoos was different from that of the others. He softly shouted.

Wu Yu swore that he had never heard this language before.

He had almost traveled the entire world, and in Africa, he had also come into contact with many tribes. However, he could not understand a single word.

What kind of gibberish is this? And why are they dressed like savages? The dragon-shaped tattoo on their chests is too damn exquisite. The injuries look so real. In the distance, some people are fortune-telling and others are lying corpses. Is this a prehistoric movie? Why am I here? What the hell is going on here?

Wu Yu suppressed the intense, burning sensation that felt as if it would explode within him, thoughtfully considering his situation while his eyes scanned the surroundings. His hands, without drawing attention, reached down to the ground and grasped a stone.

He only remembered leaning on the elevator rail, saying So tired, before he could no longer hold himself up and collapsed, the takeout he was delivering scattering all over the ground. Upon regaining consciousness, he found himself surrounded by faces that seemed to belong to wild people, eagerly shouting something at him.

In Wu Yu’s eyes, these people were no different from savages, wearing nothing but a piece of beast skin around their waists.

Of course, he was no exception.

While Wu Yu was pondering over his situation, a surge of unfamiliar information abruptly entered his mind.

This was followed by an indescribable pain.

The sensation was like being in a closed room with thousands of drills buzzing in his ears simultaneously.

He involuntarily, beyond his own will, clasped his head with both hands, curled up into a ball on the ground, and rolled around, screaming in pain so bitterly and sharply that it seemed to pierce the clouds.

Wu Yu’s actions frightened the savage man, who hurriedly held him down and covered his mouth tightly, as if afraid of being heard by others.

At the same moment Wu Yu screamed in agony,

Not far away, on a large rock, a person wrapped in black python-patterned skin, expressionless, stared intently at three shiny turtle shells in front of him. Hearing Wu Yu’s screams, he couldn’t help but turn his head to look in that direction, then turned back to the turtle shells with a solemn expression. After a while, his face showed a hint of realization.

Meanwhile, further away, a group of over a hundred people led by someone who seemed to have also heard his screams, waved his hand and led the group quickly towards this location.

After what seemed like both an eternity and an instant,

    The pain finally subsided.

Uh, uh, let go of your hand, you’re going to stink me to death? Wu Yu wriggled his body, shouting loudly in a strange voice.

Yu, are you okay? I didn’t expect this Wild Beast Blood to actually wake someone up. The man said hurriedly in a low voice, and at the same time, let go of his hand.

This time, he understood what the man was saying.

Wu Yu sat up and leaned against the large rock behind him. He opened his mouth and took a few deep breaths before forcing out three words, I’m——fine——.

The words that came out of his mouth were spoken in the same language that the man had just spoken. Although it felt unnatural to him, it was also as familiar as his native language, something he was born with.

He then blurted out, So I’ve actually transmigrated? How can something so improbable happen to me? He said this sentence more naturally and smoothly.

Yu, you were hit in the head by a stone from a warrior of the Wolf Tribe. The stone shattered, but your head was fine. You’ve been unconscious the whole time. How did you know that we carried you across Stony Mountain? Since we were running out of water, how did you know that I was feeding you blood? But it’s not just any blood, it’s Wild Beast Blood that we just killed. What’s a dog? And who’s this ‘old man’? The man was very surprised and asked several questions in one breath.

Wu Yu knew that he had accidentally let something slip, so he pretended to smile mysteriously and said, Huang, if I didn’t know these things, could I have become the Wu’s disciple? You’ll know what a dog is in the future. As for this ‘old man’, hehe...

This person’s name was Huang. He was very strong and had bright and spirited eyes. He was tall and mighty, and his arms were almost as thick as Wu Yu’s legs. His bulging muscles were shiny with oil and radiated endless power. He was the Hunting Team Leader of the Flame Dragon Clan.

Hehe, Huang scratched the back of his head and said with a silly smile, That’s true. The Wu is omnipotent, so his disciples must be too.

After Huang finished speaking, he reached down to scratch his buttocks. Wu Yu suspected that he was going to scratch a rash, but it was probably just a habitual action. That hand had just covered his own mouth, so it was no wonder that it was so smelly. He couldn’t help but feel a chill.

That’s right, Wu Yu had transmigrated to a primitive world.

He was occupying the body of a boy named Yu who had just turned sixteen today. His parents had died early, and his name in the tribe was Yu, which was only one character different from his own name. He had been sickly and weak since childhood, and at the age of twelve, he had failed to become a Patternless Warrior but was instead discovered to have a talent for Wu. The Wu had taken him on as a disciple.

Fortunately, he had a talent for Wu, so the Wu had used many medicines to treat him and had made his body healthier day by day. He had lived until today. Otherwise, even if he hadn’t died from illness, he would have probably starved or frozen to death.

Don’t think that it’s easy to become a Wu’s disciple. You must have a talent for Wu. In the tribe, people with a talent for Wu are very rare. In some tribes, the Wu may even die without finding a successor, and the tribe will eventually perish.

The tribe he belonged to was called the Flame Dragon Clan, and had over 1,100 members. They lived in a remote and desolate place called Feather Mountain in the Zhumar Mountain Range.

In this place, there were many small clans and tribes, but the Flame Dragon Clan was one of the best among them because they possessed advanced leather-making techniques.

If a tree stands tall in a forest, the wind will surely blow it down.

Thus, the Wolf Tribe, which was second only to them, joined forces with the Bei Tribe and raided them last night while they were fast asleep. They successfully breached their defenses and entered their territory.

With the nest destroyed, how could the eggs survive?

After the tribe was breached, the chief led dozens of Totem Warriors to protect the Wu and Yu and fought their way out, escaping.

Unexpectedly, in their panic, they encountered a Wild Beast at dawn, which was either looking for food or passing by.

Normally, during this season, it would be absolutely impossible to encounter a Wild Beast in such a barren land. For them, this was no different from a bolt from the blue, making matters worse and adding fuel to the fire. Heaven was not on the side of the Flame Dragon Clan.

If they couldn’t fight it, could they at least hide?

However, the Wild Beast pursued them relentlessly, leaving them with no choice but to fight to the death.

After a fierce battle, they lost two Orange-Patterned Warriors and dozens of Red-Patterned Warriors before finally killing the Wild Beast. The heavy losses forced them to find a hidden place to rest for a while.

Fortunately, during their escape, the Wu was with them. With his continuous Blessing Technique on the Totem Warriors, they were able to kill the Wild Beast.

If it weren’t for the Wu, they would have been wiped out when they encountered such a Wild Beast.

When Wu Yu woke up, he saw the wounds on Huang and the others, which were real. Also, the bodies on the ground were not extras lying down, but real corpses. This showed how powerful the Wild Beast was.

Because Yu had not woken up for a long time, Huang took the initiative to give him a few mouthfuls of steaming Wild Beast Blood during the break, hoping to use the violent energy of the Wild Beast Blood to stimulate him to wake up. He thought that since he was a Totem Warrior, drinking this Wild Beast Blood would make his whole body feel hot and unbearable. Yu should be able to wake up if he drank it.

Yu’s body was already weak, and he couldn’t withstand the extremely violent energy of the Wild Beast Blood, which caused him to die. This allowed Wu Yu to take his place. As a result, even now, Wu Yu could still feel that violent energy rampaging through his body. He felt like molten iron that had just come out of the furnace.

As for transmigration, Wu Yu did not reject it.

On the contrary, he was looking forward to it.

According to the memories of this body, the Wu is the supreme being in the tribe. As a disciple of the Wu, unless something unexpected happens, he will eventually become the Wu himself. The current Wu seemed to be in his twilight years and could pass away at any time. When that happens, he could become the king of his own domain.

Before transmigrating, Wu Yu was a loner, self-sufficient and without a family to feed.

He was an abandoned baby, left at the door of an orphanage with his birth blood still fresh on him and without any identification. He took the surname of the orphanage director, Wu, and it was a miracle he survived at all.

He joined the military at eighteen and was assigned to a special operations unit known as Blade. Nine years later, he rose to the rank of Major and became the leader of the Dragon Thorn Squad. His codename was Flame Dragon.

Unexpectedly, during an overseas mission to save a comrade, he was shot several times, and his lungs were pierced. Though his life was saved, he couldn’t bear any stress, and the doctors predicted he wouldn’t live past thirty-five.

Not wanting to burden the organization, he chose to be discharged as a regular serviceman, refusing job arrangements and medical retirement. He wanted to live his last days as he wished since living to thirty-five was already a bonus.

After returning to civilian life, he gave most of his severance pay to Director Wu, whom he considered a father figure. Then he spent two years traveling to famous landmarks across the country. Afterward, he started writing a novel in a city with crystal blue skies and eco-level negative oxygen ions.

His novel wasn’t finished when he ran out of money, so he started delivering food as a part-time job. In the end, he collapsed while delivering food, concluding his short yet once brilliant life at the age of thirty-five.

If he had any regrets about his previous life, it would be Director Wu, who was like a father to him, the beautiful Yu Rou with whom he grew up, and his brothers in arms from the Dragon Thorn Squad.

Now, with this new body, other than a bump on the head, although physically weak, it was still better than his previous life’s limited lifespan.

Moreover, transmigration and rebirth weren’t custom-made. You can’t choose how you transmigrate, and being able to transmigrate was already a huge stroke of luck, so naturally, he had no negative feelings about it.

At worst, he could treat it as playing an irreversible live-action role-playing game in this primitive era.

Or perhaps, this was all destined. Otherwise, why would he transmigrate to the Flame Dragon Tribe, whose name matched his codename, instead of some Flame Snake or Flame Horn, Flame Cat, or Flame Dog?

It seems like everything was preordained.

Trouble! Run, the people from the Wolf Tribe and Bei Tribe are catching up! From a distance, a lookout warrior screamed in despair.

Chapter 2 Immortality of the Wu, Immortality of the Tribe

Damn it, these sons of bitches are really working together. They couldn’t have finished their little party so quickly, could they? I didn’t even get a whiff of their feathers, Wu Yu cursed inwardly.

Transmigrating into the Wu’s disciple sounded grand and promising, but the reality was a huge pain in the ass. They were in grave danger, with their lives hanging by a thread, and whether or not they could escape was up in the air.

The Wild Beast had obstructed their path, causing them to miss the best chance to escape.

Plus, the scream Wu Yu had let out had attracted the attention of the pursuers.

At that moment, an old man wrapped in black python skin, scrawny, with white hair like a crane, wearing a hat made from an animal skull adorned with a few beautiful feathers, walked toward him, leaning on a bone staff with faltering steps.

Under the circumstances, the old man’s pace made everyone anxious.

He was the Wu of the Flame Dragon Tribe, according to Wu Yu’s memories.

As for his name, Wu Yu didn’t know. In the tribe, once one became the Wu, they were respectfully addressed as Wu. Their original names were gradually forgotten. Tribes used their names to differentiate their Wu, since there was only one Wu in each tribe. The Wu of the Flame Dragon Tribe was thus called the Flame Dragon Wu.

Wu Yu also knew that there was a hierarchy among the Wu in the tribe.

The most basic level of Wu was called the Blessing Wu. They were only capable of giving blessings, conducting warrior awakening ceremonies, identifying certain medicinal herbs, and mastering certain herbal formulas.

The next level was the Si Wu. In addition to the abilities of the Blessing Wu, they were also capable of divination, prayer, and more healing techniques.

Above them was the Spirit Witch. They were usually found in mid to high-level tribes and could use their cultivated Witch Power to treat injuries and illnesses. They also had long lifespans, living to at least two hundred years old.

This was all that Wu Yu knew from his memories, nothing more.

Behind the Wu was a tall man, at least two meters tall, like an iron tower. He was muscular, with his hair tied up with beast sinew and adorned with a few feathers. His footsteps echoed as he walked. Wu Yu got a clear look at the Flame Dragon Totem on his chest: it was orange.

He was the chief of the Flame Dragon Tribe, known as Meng. He was an Orange-Patterned Warrior, and his face was anxious and grim.

In primitive tribes, warriors must awaken to possess the Totem Power, and the level of their totem is displayed right in the middle of their chest.

The Flame Dragon on their chests is not a tattoo but the totem of the Flame Dragon Tribe, awakened through a ritual conducted by the Wu. No wonder it looks so lifelike.

Initially, warriors who awaken display a red totem on their chest, known as Red-Patterned Warriors. As they advance in level, the color changes to orange, and the next level up is yellow.

Wu Yu’s memories only included these three levels of warriors.

Candidates chosen for totem warrior awakening at the age of twelve are known as Patternless Warriors.

The strength of a tribe depends on how many Totem Warriors it can awaken. If the Wu is considered the sky of the tribe, mysterious and unfathomable, then the Totem Warriors are the earth, the foundation that supports the tribe.

Of course, not everyone can awaken to become a Totem Warrior, such as Wu Yu’s predecessor, who wasn’t even chosen to be a Patternless Warrior.

The best age for a Totem Warrior to awaken is between twelve and eighteen years old, with only ten percent capable of awakening. The Flame Dragon Tribe has about one hundred Totem Warriors in total, which is relatively high.

Now, they have less than half of that number.

Seeing the Wu and the chief approaching, Wu Yu hastily stood up and bowed to them from a distance.

Huang and the others quickly dispersed, looking in the direction they came from, picking up their weapons, and preparing for battle.

The Wu walked up to him, staring into his eyes as if trying to see something.

The Wu’s eyes were black and profound, captivating.

Even though Wu Yu had undergone countless lie detection trainings in his previous life, he still felt a sense of guilt and quickly lowered his head to look at his bare toes.

He noticed that the Wu was also barefoot. Probably, the tribe had no shoes.

The Wu’s solemn face revealed a rare smile. He reached out, touched Wu Yu’s head, and said, Yu, from today onwards, you are the Wu of the Flame Dragon Clan. Remember: as long as the Wu exists, the tribe exists! Our Flame Dragon Tribe’s ancestral land is in the Central Continent, where we once had a glorious past. Originally, I wanted to wait until you cultivated your Witch Power before passing on the legacy to you, but now it seems you’ll have to explore on your own. The legacy of the Wu is all in my bag. You must understand it with your heart and cultivate your Witch Power as soon as possible.

Following that, he said to the chief, Meng, have Huang take twenty strong warriors to protect Yu and flee eastward into the Black Wind Forest. That is a mysterious forest, rumored to contain evil, unknown powers. Once they enter, it’s unlikely they will be pursued further. Even if they are followed, they should be able to escape this disaster.

Why not have someone protect you and flee instead? You are a Si Wu, after all, while Yu hasn’t even cultivated his Witch Power yet, not even qualifying as a Blessing Wu, the chief, Meng, wasn’t defying the Wu’s order but was puzzled.

The Wu, looking at chief Meng, patiently explained, If it hadn’t been for the appearance of that Wild Beast, we might have been able to escape. But now, it’s too late. They have twelve Orange-Patterned Warriors, while we are down to only five. If we just keep running, they will soon catch up to us. Then, our tribe faces extinction. The best option now is for us to stay behind and block them, giving Yu and the others time to reach the Black Wind Forest.

The Wu paused briefly, then added, I have divined, and the ancestors indicated ‘From death comes life, enter the Black Wind, the Flame Dragon shall soar’. When Yu was knocked unconscious, I saw it; there seemed no chance of awakening, yet he suddenly did, ‘From death comes life’, isn’t that exactly what happened to him? I believe Yu will cultivate his Witch Power. The legacy of our Flame Dragon Tribe will continue forever, and one day, the Flame Dragon will return to our ancestral land. Remember, our sacrifice is worthwhile.

After finishing his statement, the Wu took off the pouch hanging from his body, caressed it briefly, and handed it to Wu Yu.

Chief Meng, without any hesitation, turned around to carry out the Wu’s orders.

As long as the tribe survives, he was ready to sacrifice himself at any moment.

If the Wu asked him to die now, he would not hesitate to plunge the Fang Knife into his heart.

Such is the Wu, the supreme existence of the tribe, whose commands are never defied, only absolutely obeyed.

Just a second ago, Wu Yu was wishing for the Wu to die quickly so he could rise above others.

But the next second, when actually faced with the situation, tears welled up in his eyes.

Though he had just transmigrated and taken over Yu’s body, having no emotional connection to the Flame Dragon Tribe, what one might call not having a dog in this fight, he couldn’t help but respect the Wu’s selfless act. Instinctively, he raised his hand to salute the Wu. Midway through, he abruptly realized his mistake and hurriedly reached out to take the pouch handed over by the Wu.

The Wu didn’t notice his lapse, looking at him with hopeful eyes as he took the pouch.

The Flame Dragon Tribe, true to their expertise in leatherworking, had made the pouch exceptionally soft to the touch, surpassing those of his previous world.

Holding the pouch, he stood there, his thoughts in disarray, opening his mouth a few times but unable to utter a word.

Right now, he truly had the will but not the strength.

Even if he possessed the talent to turn the heavens and earth upside down, with his current abilities, there was absolutely no way to transform that into combat strength in such a short period of time, turning defeat into victory.

The present situation couldn’t be resolved by relying on intelligence.

Without absolute strength, everything was useless.

Wu Yu had never believed in the concept of the weak overcoming the strong. When Han Xin was weak, he could only endure humiliation and crawl through someone’s legs; only after gaining strength did he become a powerful general.

This world was not the primitive society theorized by scholars in Wu Yu’s previous life.

In this world, there was brutal plundering between tribes, endless wilderness, monstrous beasts capable of destroying the heavens and earth, and many other unknown forces of which he was unaware. All the categories and eras proposed by scholars might exist here, or even overlap.

If one had to define this world, it would be: existing only in the unrestrained imaginations of fantasy novelists in his previous life, beyond imagination, where anything was possible.

Since I’m here, I’ll make the best of it. I can only follow the Wu’s arrangements. His strategy is indeed the best way to preserve the legacy of the Flame Dragon Tribe; there’s no other choice. The most dangerous place can indeed be the safest. I wonder if the Wu’s divination of ‘From death comes life, enter the Black Wind, the Flame Dragon shall soar’ is genuine or just made up to comfort everyone. Perhaps he divined that I had transmigrated here and been reborn. If so, the Wu of this world are truly gods, not charlatans.

Wu Yu let out a long sigh, calming his anxious mood.

Less than thirty seconds later, Huang arrived before the Wu with twenty warriors, all kneeling on one knee, bowing to him.

Huang, like chief Meng, was an Orange-Patterned Warrior, half a head taller than the chief. However, the color of the totem on his chest was not as bright.

The totems of the other twenty warriors were red, Red-Patterned Warriors through and through.

The Wu glanced at them, raising the snow-white Bone Staff above his head with both hands. His aura suddenly changed, his lips moved, his eyes shone brightly, and all traces of decrepitude vanished.

Suddenly, wisps of visible gray Qi emerged from the Bone Staff, flowing towards the totems on the warriors’ chests. After entering the totems, they glowed much brighter, as if they had come to life.

The surrounding warriors looked on with envy, as if receiving the Wu’s blessing was a great honor.

Wu Yu couldn’t hear clearly what he was reciting.

Although he had memories of such scenes, witnessing them in person still left him deeply astonished, giving him a more intuitive understanding of this world.

Nevertheless, he remained calm, hanging the pouch he had received on his body, clenching his fists, and observing the proceedings with mixed emotions.

After the Wu finished his actions, his body swayed, and he appeared much older. His entire center of gravity seemed to rest on the Bone Staff as he slowly said, From this moment on, Yu is the Wu of the Flame Dragon Clan. You must protect Yu as you would your own lives. While the Wu lives, the tribe will not perish. With that, he turned without looking back and headed in the chief’s direction.

Huang stood up, glanced back at the Wu, and without another word, lifted Wu Yu and hoisted him onto his back, then ran wildly eastward.

Wu Yu let Huang carry him away, allowing the sounds of slaughter behind him to drift by his ears. He didn’t look back to see what had become of the Wu and the others.

It wasn’t that he didn’t dare or couldn’t bear it, but rather that they had turned a mountain pass, making it impossible to see.

Flame Dragon Warriors, never to be enslaved!

As someone shouted this phrase, the faint sounds of killing behind them gradually faded away.

At the same time, he distinctly heard a click coming from the pouch the Wu had given him.

A Wu, who communicates with heaven and earth, controls the universe.

A Wu is faith, a Wu is a leader, holding the power of life and death, writing history, passing on traditions.

Where there is a Wu, there is a tribe!

While the Wu lives, the tribe will not perish!

    ......

Wu Yu repeated these phrases silently in his mind, using them to ease the unprecedented despair in his heart.

Unbeknownst to him, his face was already streaked with tears.

    Chapter 3: Black Wind Forest

I thought I was cold-blooded and strong. I never expected I could be so sentimental.

Wu Yu looked up at the sky.

Having witnessed the Wu performing the Blessing Technique earlier, he was no longer surprised by the nine suns arranged in a Nine Palaces Grid in the sky, like giant heaters, or the massive figures occasionally flying through the air. It all seemed perfectly normal.

So what if there were nine suns? Wasn’t that what legends said? Nothing unusual about that.

In Wu Yu’s memories, the place he lived had three seasons: the dry season, the rainy season, and the cold season.

It was currently the dry season, which lasted for 120 days. Almost every day was clear and cloudless, with the sun blazing down, parching the earth and drying up rivers. Even when it rained, it was accompanied by thunder and lightning, and the wind howled. During this season, fierce beasts occupied the forests and water sources, making it difficult for the tribe to hunt and find water, and diseases were rampant.

After the dry season came the long rainy season, which also lasted for 120 days. It basically rained heavily every day, and the sun was rarely seen, as if the heavens had been pierced, turning the parched earth of the dry season into a vast ocean. All kinds of fierce beasts roamed during the rainy season, forming beast tides that competed with the tribe for territory.

After the rainy season came the unforgiving cold season. The vast ocean formed during the rainy season froze into solid ice, and snow fell heavily for 120 days. Although there were nine suns in the sky, one could barely feel any warmth. The extreme cold caused animals to hide and plants to freeze to death. During this season, the tribe often lost many people to hunger and cold, as they lacked food and shelter.

In short, this world was a constant struggle against the elements, against fierce beasts, against unknown forces, and against the cannibalism of different tribes. The conditions for survival and reproduction were extremely harsh, and life was fraught with danger and hardship.

But where there’s life, there’s hope.

As a special forces soldier in his previous life, Wu Yu’s adaptability and resilience were naturally far superior to ordinary people. He was not afraid of such circumstances, let alone when he had no choice.

Moreover, he was not one to dwell on what he could have had.

He knew that he now bore the heavy burden of revitalizing the Flame Dragon Tribe. He was the key to their survival and the hope for their legacy, as well as his own.

Like a cornered beast, I’ll fight to survive. I have to find a way to stay alive first. Only the living have hope. Only the living have strength.

If I die, these twenty-one warriors who followed me will definitely not live on their own.

Farewell, old Wu. Don’t be stingy with your money!

Farewell, Yu Rou. Forgive me for leaving without saying goodbye. I hope you find someone who will love you.

Farewell, my brothers of the Dragon Thorn Squad. May you all be safe!

Wu, and Yu, you can rest assured. Now that I occupy this body, I am a Flame Dragon person. The Central Continent? I, Wu Yu, swear today that if I can escape with my life today, I will do everything in my power to become stronger and lead the Flame Dragons back to our ancestral land!

As Wu Yu was making his oath, he faintly heard some intermittent sounds carried by the wind.

    Quick...

    Follow...

    There are traces...

    Black Wind Forest...

His former self, Yu, may have been physically weak, but his hearing was extraordinary.

From the sound, Wu Yu could tell that the pursuers were not far behind them. If it weren’t for the tall grass covering them, he estimated that they could have seen them if they had turned their heads.

Huang also heard it, but he didn’t turn around. Instead, he shouted to one of the warriors, Xuan, the Black Wind Forest is just ahead. Take ten warriors with you and hold them off here at all costs. Buy us some time to enter the Black Wind Forest.

After saying this, he pushed his Totem Power to its limits and shot off like an arrow, heading for the Black Wind Forest.

Xuan and his men are no match for them. Don’t let them die in vain. Have them follow us, Wu Yu said as Huang disappeared into the distance.

He had originally wanted to say like throwing an egg at a rock, but he thought it best to adapt his language style to this world as much as possible.

Wu, I must ensure your safety, Huang replied without slowing down.

If all of you die, what use is it for me to be left alone? If you still consider me your Wu, then call them to follow us! Otherwise, I’ll show you how I die, Wu Yu threatened. He had no other choice.

Without the skin, how can the hair remain attached?

In Wu Yu’s memory, the warriors of the Flame Dragon Tribe would rather die in battle than become slaves.

If all of them fought to the death, leaving only him with his current physique, even though he was a special forces soldier in his previous life, his survival ability in this world would be limited, no matter how many ideas he had.

Even if he managed to survive by luck, could he still be considered the Flame Dragon Tribe if he was all alone? What’s more, he was still a stowaway.

In fact, he still had an idea: if he entered the forest, where the trees would provide cover, he could use his combat skills to make them taste the jungle warfare of a new era special forces soldier.

This was the only solution he could think of at the moment.

Of course, to achieve this, he needed people. With his current body, he would probably be finished off by any carnivorous bird or beast he encountered, and he wouldn’t be able to carry out his plan.

With no other choice, Huang turned around and shouted at Xuan and the others, Follow us, no need to hold them off.

Xuan replied loudly, No, for the Flame Dragon, we are willing. He looked determined to die.

Huang roared, This is Wu’s order, do you dare disobey it!

As soon as they heard that it was Wu’s order, Xuan reluctantly led his men towards them.

Huang, have everyone use their last bit of Totem Power and go to the Black Wind Forest at full speed.

    Yes!

Huang replied curtly, then shouted to the crowd, Wu orders everyone to use their Totem Power and run to the Black Wind Forest with all their might.

As soon as Huang’s voice fell, a voice came from somewhere behind them, Quick, they’re just ahead, go at full speed...

Perhaps it was because Wu had cast a Blessing on them earlier, which made their Totem Power far stronger than before and stronger than their opponents.

Perhaps it was also because Wu’s Blessing had brought them good luck. Along the way, they didn’t encounter a single fierce beast.
