My Writings - Victor C Huron

    Dedications

For my mother who has joined the heavens. We shared something spiritual only my family would understand. She never knew I enjoyed writing, but yet I saw her dabble at it a few times. The only regret I have when it comes to my mother is that she never had a chance to read a single word of my writings.

    Celia Chapa Huron

    Memory

For my father who has also joined the heavens. An honorable man who worked hard to support his family. We may not have agreed on everything, but he will always have my utmost respect and love.

    Victoriano Hernandez Huron

    Twice in this Life

To Cynthia, you’re the main reason I began to write again. I remember the night you gave me that piece of paper with your name on it. When you read it for the first time, a smile came upon your face. You brought back something I enjoyed and so happy you were the first I wrote for. I will always remember you and love you for that.

    Something Special

    About the Author

I have experienced many different challenges throughout my life, and I took them head on despite the outcome.  I grew up less fortunate than others, but I never let it get me down.  I’m glad I met my closest friends along with others I’ve had the pleasure of meeting on this journey.  I received a college degree in education and am currently a classroom teacher who pushes his students to reach for the stars. If I could live it once again, I wouldn’t change a single thing.  I truly have enjoyed and endured my experiences that have made me who I am today.  My words only mean what we all struggled for.

A dream, a life for we only have one to live for.

    Memory

Fallen leaves, silvery trees, silent things will be

Years of past, days gone by, a final breath

Memories of days of past times gone by

Within them memories lay all will be

Cool sea breeze, warming morning dew, calm blue skies

Many tears, grateful cheers, few lasting memories

    Reminiscing on days gone by

    Looking beyond our own lives

Seasons pass by, time flies by, life goes by

Restful sleep, remembering these, fateful memories

    Short-lived and well worth

The memory of having you in my life

    Twice in this Life

    Everyone dies

    Twice in this life

    We all must die

    Live Once

    Depart twice for the end

What lies ahead no one knows

    Live Once

Die twice is all I know

    Our demise set in stone

    Shedding tears

    Reminiscing of past years

    We all must die

    On Incarnation

    Tandem we go

    Known in life

    Now ascend into the sky

    Trips into memory lane

    Keeps my memory alive
