About this ebook

COMIC BOOK SINNER
Children book: 7 (Decision Series)
NOTE: THIS PARTICULAR STORY CONTAINS THE DESCRIPTION OF TEACHER PUNISHING/BEATING A SCHOOL KID. SUCH THING WAS A COMMON OCCURRENCE IN INDIAN SCHOOLS IN THE PAST AS A WAY TO DISCIPLINE THE STUDENTS. IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT OR DON'T APPROVE OF IT, PLEASE DO NOT READ THIS BOOK.
Summary

Bannu wasted his precious time in the boarding school on playing, reading comics and making mischiefs. His uninterested teachers made matters worse. He was forced to study when he didn't feel like doing so. One day, a teacher caught him writing thoughts of his troubled mind in his rough notebook. He handed over the notebook to Mr. Deendayal, the history teacher and vice-principal of the school, who had earlier caught Bannu with a stack of comic books. Mr. Deendayal thought reading comic books was a sin. He humiliated and beat Bannu in front of the entire school and dropped him on the stage. In this process, Bannu chipped his front teeth. Bannu's mother Lata came to know about this when she visited her son. How would furious Lata vent out her anger? Would her prophecy improve Bannu's life at the school?

    Comic Book Sinner

My teachers and my mother always remind me that I have not studied well and I should not read too many comics, shouldn’t fight with other kids and shouldn’t play all the time. But I don’t take such things to heart for it is their duty to tell me so and it is my duty to listen to them. That’s it. Who says to keep some expectations from me? Their lectures bore me, actually I often get numb when they deliver their lectures.

My teachers remind me verbally, sometime with their slaps or often with the lashing of green Neem sticks. The greener the stick, better it is. Not only it hurts really bad but it will leave marks wherever it lands. Sometimes, I think they are doing me a favor by beating the shit out of me. I hope that a new me come out of me by this verbal or physical scolding. My mother comes and gets inspired by my teachers' efforts. She tells them, Make him better.
