About this ebook

Respice finem is a book that is a collection of things I have experienced and have helped

shape the way I view the world. A blend of the past, present and future that has me thinking of

the end and what I want to give to the world. To consider the end and make life worth living.

    About the Author

To the brightest star in the sky. Thank you for being my biggest supporter, even though you are no longer here.

To my dad, who always pushes me to the best I can be.

To my sisters—Ryanne, Aspen, and Stormy. Thank you for being my best friends and supporting me always.

To Nikki, who taught me forgiveness heals.

To my grandparents, thank you for supporting me, even though you had no idea I was writing this book.

    Preface: Morality

    Morality

    I am not a God

    Nor am I a king

    I am not a Beast

    Nor am I the Hero

I am simply nothing but a man

    That trembles at the sight

    Of my own mortality

    Simply lost in time

    Hollowed by fate

The ice breaks under the weight

    Of my feet

    Shadows of the naked oak

    Coats the lake

    On which I stand

    Whom am I to breath

The frigid air that kills my lungs

In my time of great despair

    Chapped lips to speak

    The worlds of truth outloud

    To the infinity unknown

    Pain that invades my chest

    Petals falling from my flower

    Crimson growing in the

    Pure white snow

    Cool air surround me

    The fog glides in

    Waltzing gracefully

    In one final dance

    Imprisoning me in my

    Final grave

    For I am not more

    Part1:

    Ab antiquo:

    From the Ancient

    Hope

    As the sun sinks

    into the eternal horizon

    hope seems to fade

    We chase after it

    Long after the moon

    has taken its rightful place

    cascading the heavenly night sky

    in her silver glow

    Like Achilles wandering the Earth

    we search for our purpose

the thing that we hold dear

Fighting the creatures of the World

and the monsters inside our mind

    we think all is lost

    Though malevolent shadows follow us

    and winds of unknown forces

    toss us around

in a whirlwind of our own emotion

    preying on our fears,

    hoping to capture

    our hearts in their traps;

and that we will be thrown

    off our course
