    Introduction

    A good foundation is certainly the best place to build a life of meaningful spirituality. The body, being the first aspect of life, forms the basis for psychological development. A healthy balanced body will generate a counter balanced mind - it cannot be otherwise. Food quality, which builds the food body, is paramount in cultivating a happy spirit, as it directly impacts self-awareness, the essence of every sentient being . 

    When the mind is turned off in deep sleep, the universe fades away,  but upon awakening the mind proceeds to generate all phenomena. Happy spirituality entails a mind that  is inoperable like in sleep but fully aware. Stimulating foods like animal flesh maintain attachment to the duality of the universe, while non-stimulating foods like whole grains and vegetables foster self-awareness and transcendence of duality.
