Teressa spent her formative years in an oil town near Midwest, WY. Her childhood was spent with a younger brother and two sisters. Later, her family relocated to Meeteetse, WY where she graduated from high school. She later attended Casper College, but she set it aside to become a mother, merely six credits from graduation. Once her children were in school, she finished her bachelor's degree at the University of Wyoming.
