This book is dedicated to all of my students. Always chase your dreams and discover the true things in life for yourselves.
Sincerely,
Dr. J
We must always look below the surface of what we see. Many times, we believe what our eyes show us or what we hear. However, the truth might be much different from what we have made our reality. Even at great depths, nothing stays buried or lost forever. Things have a way of bubbling up to the surface and revealing the truth of the matter. Remember, it only takes a small bubble to travel from the bottom to the top to cause a breakthrough, just like a volcanic island in the water.
We may not know what will finally come from the bubble, but we can be sure to know that it will bring the truth and it will be set free. Truth is always lighter than falsities and lies. It refuses to hide in the darkness. One can always be sure that secrets will not remain buried forever, and good will always work to defeat the evil in the world no matter how deep it hides.
The ocean is a mystery. Much hides beneath the crystal blue-green water that washes up along the shore. The water from the ocean covers over seventy percent of the Earth’s surface. It gives life to the Earth. The air in the water provides the creatures living above with oxygen to safely breathe and flourish, making new life and sustaining environments. The ocean and everything living within its depths play an important part in keeping the ecosystem in balance.
Below the surface of the great sea are many different levels where life exists. First, the continental shelf is located about 200 meters below the ocean’s surface. From there, the land drops down 2,000–3,000 meters to form the Continental Slopes and Continental Rise. At 4,000–6,000 meters below, the Abyssal Plain is formed. In most cases, this is considered the bottom of the ocean.
However, trenches in the Abyssal Plain drop down to 10,000 meters. One of the deepest trenches in the ocean forms a crescent shape and is known as the Mariana Trench. It is located by the Mariana Islands in the Pacific Ocean. What has lived, or still lives there in those great depths of the ocean, continues to remain a mystery to this day.
Prologue
The Miocene Ocean. It sits on top of the land surface that was formed by the shifting of tectonic plates and volcanic eruptions. From the deepest depths of the ocean, there are small bubbles that are formed in the water. The air in the water is not dissolved in the water column. Since air weighs less than water, the bubbles that were not dissolved into gases traveled thousands of meters to the surface of the ocean to form the beautiful sea foam that dances along the water and washes up on the
