Mindy

The sun was out, and the sky was crystal blue the day I moved into my apartment. I had taken the first step at independence, leaving my parent’s house, and it felt great. The apartment complex I had signed a lease with had a doorman, rooftop garden, pool/sauna combo and a gym. I really felt like I had scored the lottery by renting a room in this place from an ad on social media. My parents weren’t thrilled, but they couldn’t stop me.
