Life and Love in the Visible Spectrum - Steve Kelly

    Gates and Windows

    Joy sparkling children's laughter

Dew wet across a field of rainbow flowers

Springs new from earth's winter deep

Inspires hope all yellow sun spark

To soar upwards from dark night despair

    Cascading into light

    Promising the day

And in pond water rippling strength

Peace spreads shock waves of silence

Warm caresses in a sea of blue

    And me and you

    We dance the air electric

    We sing sapphire

    Jasper, garnet, pearl and beryl

    All colours true

Gates and windows flung wide open

    Inviting the view

    Holiday Sunset

    Angel wings feather the sky

Down at the end of a pillow day

Salt white in the golden light

    Chaos cloudscape dances

    Copper on wet sand

    Burnished brilliant shield

    In the waning sun

    Not chaos really

More the instinctual brush strokes of an artist’s hand

Moved by the randomness of breeze

    And an osprey’s cry

To sing with colour in abandon

    Across a familiar canvas

    While out on the sandbar

    Holiday children

    Sun kissed smiles

    Discover treasures

    Jump and run

In tag with the rising tide

    Barefoot squealing

    Sand between toes

    They stretch ice cream fingers

Up to tickle the belly of the sky

    All delight in long shadows

    Future tall

    Future dark

    But still active

    Ever hopeful

    Ever loving

    Childlike in the fading light

    Ice In The Fire

    Movement moment

    An instant revived

    Light and lightness

    More than darkness survived

    Sun bright

    Star exploding

    Beginning and end

    Alpha Omega

    Beginning and old

    The journey goes on

    The players grow cold

    Waltzing in

    The in between

    Walking, waking

    The joyous scene

    Survive the alive

    And wake to the morning

    Stand firm

    In the ocean

    Swirling

    Salt water dancing

    Spirals of life

    The fire in the glacier

    The ice in the fire

    The Artist's Eye

    The artist's eye

    Sees the subtle changes

    That most will never see

    Captures glories
