OLD
To all the brave ones who walk the path of old age with wisdom and grace, thank you for being beacons of hope and strength on gray and sunny days. May your resilience and love continue to inspire generations, showing that age is just a number and that the heart never ages.
Old age should not be seen as the setting of the sun, but as the dawn of a new stage full of wisdom and gratitude.
It wraps me like a soft cloak that whispers stories from the past, while other times, it hangs over me like a heavy shadow that makes each breath difficult. In these moments of silence, I find myself, facing my joys and my sorrows, my achievements and my failures.
Solitude invites me to reflect on the path I have traveled and the paths I still have to explore.
My thoughts dive into the deep pool of reflection.
I relive moments that already seemed forgotten, unearthing memories buried under the layers of time.
I close my eyes and I can see the smiles of those I loved who are no longer here, I can feel the warmth of their embrace as if it were yesterday.
Reflection allows me to understand the meaning of each experience lived, finding lessons in every tear shed and in every laugh shared.
Memories are the most precious treasure I possess. They are like little lights that illuminate the path of my life, guiding me through the dark labyrinths of time. I immerse myself in them hungrily, savoring every detail, every aroma, every emotion.
Although sometimes memories hurt, I prefer to embrace them tenderly, because they are irrefutable proof that I have lived, that I have loved, that I have been.
Despite the loneliness that sometimes surrounds me, I find comfort in the camaraderie of my life companions. In this asylum, each of us carries his own story, with his own scars, but together we form an improvised family, a refuge of love and understanding in the midst of the chaos of the outside world. We hold each other, sharing laughter and tears, knowing that we are never alone as long as we have human warmth around us.
Routine has become my most faithful ally.
In a world where everything seems to change at a dizzying pace, routine provides me with a sense of stability and security.
Each day follows the same pattern, from dawn to dusk, and finding comfort in that predictability helps me face the challenges
