About this ebook

Flaming tequila shots! What could go wrong?

It turns out a whole lot. Mixing alcohol and my natural clumsiness might have been a bad idea. Our annual Girl's Night Cinco de Mayo celebration is on fire. Literally. Along with my apartment.

Lucky for us, a hot fireman comes rushing in to save us from disaster. My apartment isn't the only think left smoldering. One look and Marco Grayson has me a little hot under the collar, too. Lucky for me, he seems to have the same affliction.

What happens when the hunky fireman finds his curvy little firecracker? Sparks fly.

Looking for over-the-top heroes falling hard for their curvy women? Loni promises cute, quick insta-love romance with a touch of humor.

Fear exists before and after, but not while the shots are being fired, because, at that moment, you see men at their very limit, capable of the most heroic of actions and the most inhumane. -  Paulo Coelho

    About the Author

Asense of Déjà vu hits me right between the eyes as Jenna fumbles with the to-go containers and her purse. Tonight, we’re having our weekly girl’s night out at my little house.

You should’ve called and asked one of us to come out to help you. I roll my eyes. My friend refuses to ask for assistance.

I grab the box out of her hand and place it on the counter. Jenna hangs her purse on a barstool and starts unpacking our dinner while London and I pour drinks. Damn, girl. You must be hungry. Maddie points to the four overfull boxes lining my counter. You went overboard again.

I am starving. Jenna shakes her head. But I only ordered one taco-burrito snack pack. Tino must’ve given us extra again.

He must think we’re feeding the entire neighborhood. Maddie grabs a little box and throws back her head laughing. He even sent us more peppers. She holds up the note on top and reads it out loud. Just in case you ladies are feeling adventurous. I’ve added a few spicy treats.

Months ago, we had a girl’s night at London’s apartment. Maddie accidentally ate one of Tino’s Carolina Reaper peppers, and we all suffered with her. After I fed her ice cream to soothe the burning, she reminded me of her issue with lactose. The ice cream eased the pain in her mouth but caused abdominal discomfort. It ended up being a long night for all of us.

My front door flies open, and Piper comes rushing in. She slams her purse down and groans. Sorry, I’m late. She glances over at Jenna and rolls her eyes. My boss is a cruel woman.

Jenna sticks her tongue out before reminding her, You volunteered for this project.

Piper grumbles about not knowing what she was getting into and drops down onto a barstool. Dealing with your husband’s best friend is going to turn me prematurely gray.

That’s why we have great hairdressers. Jenna shrugs. Get over it. Jenna is the editor-in-chief of Curvy Cuties magazine. She began as an intern and impressed the owner, Ms. Milly. When the elderly lady decided to retire, she made a very generous proposal to my friend—control of the magazine in exchange for a small percentage of the profits. Ms. Milly refuses to take our money, so we donate her portion to a women and children’s charity in her name.

We’ve worked our asses off to turn the old, dated publication into a modern women’s magazine. Each of us found the perfect position at Curvy
