About this ebook

“This defect most adults don’t see
For they’re as critical as we
To think the youth have suffered less
Is a false reality.”

In a world that seems to grow harder to navigate with each passing day, Begin : Quest not only tells about the inward journey or fleshly fight but validates readers' vicissitudes by sharing troubles common to all mankind. To echo the younger, rising generations, this collection of intimate poetry forsakes traditional grandiloquence for a more direct, figurative approach to the expression of deeper emotions synchronous with modern tribulation and focuses on testimony to the soul. This one is for the empaths, the unfortunate, and the idealistic.

Dedicated to my Mother Elizabeth, for showing me the way; my sister and best friend, PG, for helping me enjoy the journey; and to all those navigating their own journeys just like me.

    Acknowledgments

Before you start, understand this truth I show,

To write a book is harder than most authors often know.

Gratitude to those who helped along the way,

Without them, you wouldn’t read this today.

Family, my breath's origin, supported through tests,

Dedicating this book to them, (If you want to know their names, go back and read page three again)

Friends, few but crucial, you know who you are,

Your inspiration propelled me, taking me far.

Through ups and downs, you shaped my craft,

Delighting in adventures, freely writing our past.

Neighbors, especially Jane Tesh, who writes books too,

Her advice guided when I didn’t know what to do.

Publishing, a process learned with no doubt,

This tenacious woman deserves a shout-out.

Thanks to enemies, faced hardships, and grand feats,

Each taught a lesson, fostering inner peace.

    Becoming myself, an Artemis Masterpiece.

Last but not least, thanks to God every day,

For saving side-quests along His way.

All good gifts from heaven, blessed as a wordsmith,

He’s the constant, to all this, I say, Amen!
