About this ebook

I want to reach people who want to be free from the bondage of sin. The word of God says that if we claim we are not sinners, we call him a liar and he is not a man that he should lie. We sin and fall short of the glory of God each day we live whether by action, t

Erica Seals Robinson

I am first, a Christian, the most noteworthy title I have ever held. I am the mother of two beautiful children, and I also happen to be a combat veteran who served in both Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom. I have been around the world and back to my humble beginnings from a small town in Louisiana. I have seen the suffering of God's people in such a way that I was compelled to share how Jesus is still changing and saving lives. He lives! He has never been a respecter of persons that our life position or status should separate us; we are all welcomed into his presence if we choose life with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Erica from America - Erica Seals Robinson

THE LORD’S PRAYER KEEPS US CLOSE TO GOD

    Our Father

    Who art in heaven

    Hallowed be thy name

    Thy Kingdom come

    Thy will be done

One earth as it is in heaven

    Give us this day

    Our daily bread

Forgive our sins as we forgive

    Those who sin against us

    Lead us not into temptation

    But deliver us from evil

    For thine is the

    Kingdom

    And

    The power

    And

    The glory

    Forever

    Amen

    LOVE

When I tell you that I love you

I speak from a place of profound affection

It is rare to find that same connection

In the beginning I would give my love so freely

To the point that no one believed me

The fact that I would even utter the words seemed absurd

I would get looks that left me baffled

    Had I raffled

My heart like pieces of construction paper

Was it so wrong to love my neighbor

I thought to myself that it must be me in these memories

I looked to others to give me back what I so freely gave away

    And promise to stay

    Faithful and true

    Something borrowed something blue

Why would I give the love I never gave myself

I wanted you to feel real and not fake

    My mistake

    Was not loving God first

    It is like a curse

A lost search where nothing can be found

    Just look around

A bunch of nothing claiming to fulfill and meet lofty

    expectations

The summit conference of all nations

I decided to crawl back to Jesus and beg for forgiveness

So, he could teach me how to love this hot mess

    That I had become

I put him first to quench the thirst for wanting to be loved by

    someone

    God is the one

He took me back in his arms as is

He told me he loved me and this

Is a love I can hold on to in the middle of the night

And when things are not right

My problems did not go away instantly

But I consistently seek his face

With him I have blessed assurance that I can finish this race

    HATER DAY

When I brought sunshine in the room

I could feel a depressing gloom

It was like no one was happy about my hair being nappy

The locs that they call dread cover my head

    A crown of glory

A successful conclusion to a sad story

I used to worry about acceptance after being rejected

    Over and over again

    CREDIT FRIENDS FAMILY MEN

I was like a walking sin

Yet so many counted on me to be their friend until the end

I gave sound advice that proved worthwhile since I was a child

And in my years of giving I was stuck living

At the bottom of the barrel

The crabs kept pushing me down I was bound

Thrown in a hole even a mole

    Could dig its way out

I could see but I could not shout

Loud enough to be heard until one day

    I heard a word

    From my father who said

Daughter you must get up because it is time

    To bring life
