    About the Author

    Introduction

    I wrote this devotional for the everyday person longing to live a good life filled with God’s blessings. It’s also written for those who can’t attend church for various reasons. God’s blessings are just as much for them.

    The goal of this book is to introduce Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount in a relatable, refreshed, and modern way. Jesus’ teachings should speak straight to your heart in a simple way. Often, the truths of the Sermon on the Mount are underrepresented in sermons, theological writings, and creeds (formal statements of belief). Yet it is within these teachings that we discover God’s presence in the ordinary moments of our lives. Indeed, it’s in the everyday moments of our lives when we need divine guidance the most.

    Jesus’ sermon reveals that God is with us at home and at work just as much as at church. God is with us in the quiet, lonely moments just as much as when we raise our voices in song. He hears our hearts even when words elude us. Jesus assures us that our daily struggles and challenges will be a distant memory compared to the joy of living with God in the kingdom of heaven. Our lives have purpose, meaning, and direction.
