    Dedication

Simply Runas is dedicated in memory of the life

of my uncle, friend, and mentor,

    Mr. Tommie Powers.

If you want to see truth, there is art.

If you want to see beauty, there is life.

    Introduction

Poetry is my way of life. It has been a great blessing to me and I thrive off the positive energy I receive from poetry. I use it as a way to communicate with others. Being a poet is an outlet for self expression. Also, being a poet is more than rhyming words and using words effectively to get a point across. I see poetry as a way to live my work, as well as, being a spokesman or representative of my culture.

With this art form I use poetry as a way to explain, inform, and entertain.
