I'm inspired to tell this story, however unreal it may seem. And probably, some will throw the idea that this is not made up back in my face. Therefore, if someone identifies with it, it's not a mere coincidence.

I think this is the point where I must begin my story. I'm outside a bakery in Wynwood, Miami. I agreed with my cousin Ihosvany to wait for him to pick up a cake and all the food for the party since today, Thursday, May 9, is my birthday. I stepped inside an art gallery next to the bakery to look around. I saw some paintings and pictures, but one in particular caught my attention; it was that of a monastery in Bhutan. I was absorbed in front of it, giving free rein to my imagination, when I felt a touch on my back; it was my cousin.

I just turned twenty-seven today. I still live with my parents, who are a little old, but thank God, they are still pretty strong. Yes, I was raised a pampered child, especially by my grandparents. It must've been for my status as an only child gestated at an age in which most of women have already given birth. But watching myself from afar and with no favoritism, I may say that a good boy came out from all that affection.
