Foreword

In my previous book, A Prisoner's Cry: Look Up, Your Redemption Draws Near!, we had systematically reviewed and investigated the first seven signs of the end-times events that our Lord Jesus Christ prophesied about in Matthew 24:3–8, which were conclusively shown to be simultaneously occurring on a global scale today, thereby marking the prophetic Beginning of Sorrows season. Near the conclusion of the previous book and based on the prophetic season that was determined that we are now in, I had suggested that the human vessel who will become the Antichrist was most assuredly in the world today and is currently rising to power.

In this book, we review, analyze, and interpret the prophetic scriptures that identify the rising beast of Revelation 13, who will become the Antichrist, and then walk through a step-by-step investigation focused on one man who seems to have satisfied all the biblical prerequisites associated with the Satan-possessed end-times global dictator. At this book's conclusion, you will be invited to reach a verdict on the facts, evidence, and argument presented or, in the alternative, conduct additional inquiries on the subject matter until the dispute(s) is resolved within your own spirit and you are able to reach a determination.

The Rising Beast Prophecy

And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

If any man have an ear, let him hear.

He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. (Revelation 13:1–18)

The Last Days

The season was marked by COVID's assault,

Upon the sons of men.

With fear, and pain, and loss of life,

The latter days begin.

The hope and peace of eternal days to come,

Now steady believers in the faith.

While lawless acts of prevailing hate,

Threaten to overrun our gates.

Our nation cries out for a courageous leader,

A savior of the day.

And the darkness of the Evil One,

Shines as light for those who stray.

Our world is filled with signs of the end,

And mercy has lost her place.

Conflicts, and wars, and racial unrest,

Now clearly set the pace.

Where all seems lost, and love unfound,

And eyes are filled with tears.

Take heart, stand strong, look up with joy,

Our Christ is drawing near.

Chapter 1

The Questions

(Who Is the Beast? What Will He Do Once He Has Risen? What Characteristics Will He Display? Can We Learn His Identity? What Should Believers Be Doing Once We Have These Answers?)

As a child growing up in an evangelical Christian home in the South (that being the great state of Arkansas), I had often heard about, and therefore was quite familiar with, the character from the Bible who is called the Devil and a standing threat of the Old Devil coming to get [me] if I chose to do something wrong or otherwise failed to yield to the parental instructions given by my parents. My stepfather (William) was the ordained minister in our family, but it was my mother (Virginia) who set the rules, demanded respect, and possessed the ability to seemingly rain hell down on me for disobedience. She was our family's disciplinarian, and she was quite effective as such. As a child, when I was caught doing something wrong, and she concluded that my actions called for it, she would not hesitate to execute swift and exacting punishment(s). Of course, once I was caught, and disciplined, her punishment would somehow serve to prevent the Old Devil from coming for me. Interestingly, although as a child I was clear on who the Devil was, I do not recall ever really hearing anything specific about another biblical character who went by the names of the Beast and Antichrist, nor of him taking issue with my many youthful indiscretions. As best as I can remember, it was always the Old Devil I had to worry about. Now in reflection of those wilder adolescent years, admittedly I was often caught and punished by my mother for being disobedient, but to be sure that Old Devil must have been hot on my heels for the rest of the harebrained shenanigans that I had pulled growing up, for those things that I had actually gotten away with. It could have only been by the grace of God that I stayed one step ahead of him.

For clarification, and before moving forward, the Bible is clear that the Beast and the Antichrist are one in the same physical person, and so I will use both of those biblically assigned names interchangeably throughout this book to refer to him. More, I have assigned the name the Watchers to the devout and observant generation of Christian brothers and sisters
