About this ebook

Women go through suicidal ideations and self-inflicted wounds daily.  None of this is spoken on the level it should be.  Black women are considered even less when it comes to suicidal ideation and attempts. Factors such as the weight of life that we carry (work, family life, just being a Black woman), domestic violence, and pressure can cause our knees to give out.  The expectation is that we are strong, and there is no other way to be. You would be surprised how many Black women show strength, but inside feel weak and drained.  We are screaming, but we're seen as being angry, violent, have a nasty attitude, and trashy, when we're asking for the attention and help we need the only way we know how.  The next time you feel a Black woman is being harsh,  ask her how she's honestly doing.  You would be surprised how mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually drained she is.  She's falling into the abyss and feels no one will catch her. Black women face suicide more than anyone realizes.  I hope this book opens doors and brings awareness and necessary attention. I tried 3 times.  How many others have walked in my shoes?

This book is not for the faint of heart. I promise you will feel a certain way when you finish.  Yes, the details are not what you would typically think of.  This is the reality of so many minds.  I am going to take you to a place some of you have been, and others may never want to go.  We are going to talk about taboo thoughts that prayerfully will spark conversations and hopefully, you will check on the people you love and make sure they are okay.  Welcome to Pretty Wings.

The world is heavy.  Your problems are heavier.  It is hard to carry the weight without help.  Share the load so the weight does not kill you.

    Introduction

Thank you so much for your purchase and support.  I know this book is showing up soon after When Life is Lifng, but I needed to dive into this subject.  Suicide is a significant issue. I know some people do not understand what goes on in the mind of a person battling depression, anxiety, family, work, and the world.  Most people are the brightest lights but feel like the dimmest bulbs.  Suicide rates are high among Veterans and teens.  A lot of people feel worthless as if no one cares.  You may say that you care, but unless you show it, some are not going to believe you.

What you are about to read a lot of things I have not talked about but in therapy. I know some of you may have never dealt with suicidal ideation.  I need you to be able to place yourself in this person’s place and empathize with their pain.  For some people, this is their daily reality and battle.  I need people to try to understand the daily fight to live for those who have attempted or considered suicide. If you feel like you do
