About this ebook

These biblical stories are to help ignite your soul. They are a summarization of Bible stories to help encourage you to want to read the Bible and learn more of the truth, which is the Word of God. John 14:6 says, “Jesus answered and said I am the way and the truth and the Life.”

It is also a collection of biblical short stories to inspire, bless, change, and challenge someone’s life. It reveals the goodness and the love of God.

It talks about the spiritual armor of God and has questions to help challenge our memory. John 14:26 says, “But the helper, the Holy Spirit, who the Father will send in my name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.”

I praise God for this opportunity. I thank Him for every good and perfect gift. What a mighty God we serve!

    About the Author

    Volume I

    Thought for Any Day

Love is a fruit of the Spirit, not a gift. Love unifies the church. The gifts of the Spirit are like tools that accomplish the purpose of love building up the body.

Love controls the use of the gifts. They are not to divide the church, nor are they to be used to gain personal recognition.

With love, the gifts are genuine service to the church.

Love covers a multitude of sin. 1 Peter 4:8 EST

    Law versus Grace

The law addresses men as members of the old creation.

Grace makes men members of a new creation.

The law manifests what was in man—sin.

Grace manifests what is in God—love.

The law demands righteousness from men.

    Grace brings righteousness to men.

The law sentences a living man to death.

Grace brings a dead man to life.

The law speaks of what man must do for God.

Grace tells us what Christ has done for man.

The law gives a knowledge of sin.

    Grace puts away sin.

The law brought God out to man.

    Grace brings man into God.

    Dispensations

    The Belt of Truth

The first piece of armor Paul mentioned in Ephesians 6:14 is the belt of truth. Why of all things, a belt? He could have started with the mighty sword of the spirit, the towering shield of faith, or the shining breastplate of righteousness, but he didn't, which raises a question, why?

First of all, the belt played a crucial role in the effectiveness of a soldier's armor.

The belt of a Roman soldier in Paul's day was not a simple leather strap as we wear today. It was a thick and heavy leather and metal band with a protective piece hanging down from the front of it to protect the lower body.

The belt held the soldier's sword and other weapons.

Think about an overzealous soldier fired up and charging out into battle without his belt and consequently without a weapon.

This allows us to know that truth should cleave to us as a belt cleaves to our body. What is truth? John 17:17 says, Sanctify them through thy truth, thy word is truth. Second Timothy 3:16 says, all scriptures is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproach, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

    The Breastplate of Righteousness

The Roman breastplate was typically made of bronze, backed with leather. It was designed to protect the vital
