A handwritten invitation awaits you at my nightclub, Midnight Bash. I look forward to your attendance this evening at the above address.

She read his quick response with a reluctant smile.

She inhaled slowly, savoring the crisp scent of the night air. It had been three long years since she last saw him in Virginia. The memory of his captivating green eyes, shimmering like emeralds, remained etched in her mind. His suggestive smile, accompanied by the faint sound of a mischievous chuckle, still echoed in her ears. She could almost feel the warmth of his touch as his powerful hands traced the contours of her body, igniting a fire within her. She knew she should ignore the invitation, but the thought of seeing Matthias again ignited a fire that she had to contain. Because she dared not risk putting herself in a position to lose her common sense with him again.

Still, the haunting thoughts of him consumed her, weaving their way through her mind like wisps of smoke. The rhythmic thumping of her heart echoed in her ears as she made her way to a vibrant Midnight Bash located on the far side of the city from Matthias’s nightclub. The vibrant lights danced and flickered, casting a kaleidoscope of colors upon the pulsating crowd. The air was heavy with perfume and sweat, mingling in a tantalizing cocktail of desire. With each step, her anticipation grew, and her thighs became slick with a mix of nervousness and longing.

An imposing full-blood bouncer silently waved her through the entrance as if he could sense the turmoil within her. The music pounded as she danced through the door of the Midnight Bash, her hips swaying to the fierce rhythm. Everywhere she looked, people were enjoying themselves, yet those around her all shared similar features—Black women with curves and sexy Caucasian full-blood vampires with muscles in abundance.

Wearing an expensive black dress with a flowing skirt and being both Black and extra curvy, she fit right in. Still, she knew she shouldn’t be here.
