    Colin Jones was popular with the girls in View Royal. He was sixteen, laid back, and handsome, with a constant grin. He wasn't the type to get involved in serious trouble. He noticed Nevada, a new girl on his street, who lied about being seventeen but was actually fourteen. View Royal was a small, close-knit community where everyone knew each other. Colin knew many people, including Nevada's friends and family. He had a crush on Nevada but lost interest when he found out she lied.

    Josephine, another girl, unsettled Colin. She was a troublemaker, unlike Kelly, who seemed lost and polite. The girls often hung out at Colin's place, asking for weed. Colin observed how Josephine corrupted Nevada. He regretted inviting the girls to a party, which ended disastrously. Later, Josephine showed up at his house, claiming she had nowhere to go.
