    Mistake

Space log, 12-22-2510, 3:00 pm. We just finished capturing the runaway Yuloras from the planet Vax. Heading to the drop off location at Port 57 now to collect the bounty.

Do you have to do an entry every time we finish a mission? my older sister Veatrice says, rolling her eyes. I sigh.

You messed me up. Now I have to re-record.

Indeed, I know my space log entries are a bit tedious. But how else will I keep track of how many aliens we’ve captured? As professional space bounty hunters, my family and I are well aware of the legal issues that come with capturing space criminals. Sometimes, the drop off attendants claim we didn’t capture the right one, or we’ve turned in our loot a bit too late. These diaries serve as proof that we are legit.

Kids, don’t argue, Mom calls from the cockpit. The important thing is, we’ve got the aliens. We’ll drop the Yuloras off at Port 57, then return to our docking station for some shut-eye. Okay? I’ll even make space cocoa.

Fine, Veatrice says and leans back in her recliner. But those Yuloras sure are noisy.

    I nod.
