    GROWING INTO THE JOB

    Khloe was not sure what to expect on her first day of work. She had known about the new boba tea place opening in the mall for months. Everyone at her college knew about it. But she had not expected to be spending her summer working there after her scheduled internship fell through. All she had to do was ask for a job and they hired her on the spot, much to Khloe's relief as money had grown tight recently.

    The shop was scheduled to open in a few days, but Khloe needed training first. She had never made boba tea herself, let alone served it to customers. And she had yet to meet her coworkers, something that made her both excited and nervous all at the same time.

    Booba Tea seemed to be like any other boba shop. Although the spelling of the name was confusing. Why was there the extra o? It did not make sense. Then again, Khloe supposed the owner could call it whatever he wanted to. It was Mr. Turner's store. He had named it. That was the way the world worked.

    Khloe stepped inside the shop and noticed a handsome man behind the counter. He wore an apron over his clothes and held a rag in one hand while his other rested on his hip. As soon as he saw her standing there, looking around, a grin grew on his face.

    Hi, I'm Hunter, he said with a smile as she approached the front counter. Can I guess? You are Khloe.

    Khloe blushed slightly upon hearing his words. He was a cute guy and it was obvious by his comment that they would be working closely together. Yeah, that's me, she said,
