No Motive - Samuel Ludke
Please stay
In pleading verse, I'll beg you to remain,
Where love's sweet ember flickers, do not stray.
These heartfelt lines, my desperate refrain,
Beseeching you, my love, please, do not go away.
Like autumn leaves, our moments gently fall,
Each whispered word, a plea to pause the night,
In tender echoes, hear my fervent call,
Oh, stay with me till dawn's first gentle light.
Your absence leaves a void within my soul,
A silent ache, where once your laughter lay,
With every tear that silently rolls,
I beg you, love, oh, won't you please just stay?

Each grain a memory, each second lost,
Yet in this hour, let time stand and amass,
And hold me close despite the tempest's cost.
For in your arms, my world finds its reprieve,
A sanctuary in this stormy sea,
So heed my plea, let not my heart grieve,
Stay here with me, where love's embrace is free.
I'll paint you skies of azure, fields of green,
And whisper dreams upon the evening breeze,
With every word, a prayer to intervene,
And bind our souls through life's uncertainties.
For love like ours, a fragile, precious bloom,
Needs nurturing in passion's tender care,
So stay, my love, dispel impending gloom,
And let us brave the
