Telling
Your
Magic
Book

Chapter
1
What
Is
a
Magic
Book
Story?
A
magic
book
story
is
a
short
bedtime/naptime
story
that
you
and
your
child
create.
The
story
allows
you,
with
input
from
your
child,
to
build
a
fun
adventure
based
on
your
child’s
recent
experiences,
favorite
things,
pets,
or
people.
It
is
the
intent
of
this
book
to
help
you
tell
a
different
bedtime
story
every
night.
What
is
unique
about
these
bedtime
stories
is
that
they
bring
your
child
into
a
story
where
they
help
you
come
up
with
the
fundamental
plot
and
the
ultimate
outcome
to
the
adventure.
Utilizing
something,
someone,
or
an
event
that
they
are
familiar
with,
your
child
will
become
part
of
the
story.
They
help
create
the
story.
You
may
include
their
friends,
classmates,
stuffed
animals,
pets,
or
anything
else
that
interests
them.
They
will
be
the
star
or
hero
of
the
story.
They
provide
input
throughout
the
story
to
help
guide
its
direction,
and
they
use
their
imagination
and
problem-solving
skills
to
come
up
with
a
conclusion.
It
will
be
easy
for
you
and
your
child
to
tell
a
different
magic
book
story
every
night.
The
story
follows
a
consistent
predictable
format
but
has
enough
variations
and
twists
to
keep
your
child
interested
and
enthusiastic.
They
will
welcome
bedtime
and
your
telling
of
a
magic
book
story,
and
when
the
story
is
