PREFACE

This book titled, Eternal Mark, is compiled from the messages that Professor Zacharias Tanee Fomum taught in Jos, Nigeria, in June 2007.

It is an exhorting and encouraging message dealing generally with the believers’ holiness and relationship according to Hebrews 12:14. The purpose of the message is to raise the believers’ awareness of that very day when every believer will be commended by the Master; as is in Matthew 25:21.

From the word go, the author talks about the believer’s way of life. He presents God as One who forgives and restores in an unparalleled way. And he calls on believers to do the same. In addition, he calls believers to put on the spirit of rejoicing, celebration, and thanksgiving to God. Then he discourses on heaven giving marks to believers. He shows us that everything in the life of a believer is important and affects his eternal mark; some of the things make us gain marks while others make us lose marks. The author also address the need to put to death the old self and its practices as a continuous exercise.

Our prayer is that, as you read through this book and obey the message, you would be serious in your daily and continuous sanctification, and be watchful in your day-to-day relationship with others—believers and unbelievers, knowing that the eternal mark which you will receive from the Lord  is determined by your performance in these domains.
