Since I've been going through the stuff that I wrote, I find my mind working like it did in the past. I lay my head down to go to sleep and the words keep coming, they won't leave me alone.
Here it is almost mid-night. I went to bed around nine, but I had to get up and put the words on paper. In this case, in the computer. I don't remember when it stopped or slowed down in the past, but let me tell you now, it's wearing me out.

New Friend

Sitting in a cafe I knew it wasn't a joke

When at the next table a man began to choke

He got a piece of meat that he couldn't swallow

It choked him so bad that he couldn't even holler

I grabbed him round the chest and squeezed real hard

Then something popped out as big as a yard

About that time the doctor came rushing in

The man said not to worry Doc meet
