Tears of Phoenix - John Samurai
PART I
1
Death
People tried to kill me
But I always rose again
And the funny thing is
That death doesn’t even tickle
2
Tears
They dry fast
As fast as they come out of my eyes
I tend not to overthink anymore
I tend to think less then tears drop
But I surely rely on my intuition
And sometimes the best thing
A human can do
Is drop a tear
3
Tide
Dreams come true
If you do what you have to do
Dreams are like films where you play
The main role
Every day
Tide of emotions is what you surd
When you get what you deserve
4
Captive
Body stuck in middle east
Soul is dreaming of the north
I cannot hold myself captive any longer
But circumstances keep me locked
I don’t know what to do
I just dwell vicariously through those who do
5
Blood Thirsty Demon
There is a beast that lives inside of me
I tend to overhear its thoughts
I tend to separate the evil and good
That it deceives
I hold
I hold
But for how long?
6
Peter
Be it a web slinging hero
Or holy apostle
I still run aside the stone that Greeks had left
And as further I run
The better I know
I will stumble on that stone
And only then I will use it
To make it a stepping stone
7
Tourist
He flies among the stars
First class and everything
He thinks of nothing else
But dream
