They say summer camp is a place to step out of your comfort zone, and step I shall. 
I've always wanted Kiera Hayes.

Kiera

Camp Blue Maple is a camp located near the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe. It’s known for its spectacular view of the crystal-blue water of Lake Tahoe and for teaching its campers the process of making maple syrup.

It’s been a long summer of fun in the sun and swimming. And the best part?

It’s our last night here.

Everyone is burned out by the end of summer camp, especially the counselors. That’s why we, the counselors, have a tradition of putting all of our names in a hat, so we each have a chance of winning the last night of summer camp off. Whoever’s name is drawn gets to pick one other person to join him or her for the night off.

On the last night of camp, the kids usually watch a movie in the recreation cabin. But for a quick minute, a group of about twenty counselors have gathered in the staffroom for this name-drawing.

I hope my name is picked out of the hat because I want to catch up on some much needed me time.

Glancing across the room, I spot Derek Halifax. He’s leaning against a wall with his hands in his pockets and looking as handsome as ever.

He’s a counselor at this camp every summer, just like me.

God, he’s so gorgeous.

Derek has light brown hair and deep blue eyes. With a chiseled jaw and a strong athletic body, he has women staring at him constantly, myself included.

Every summer when he’s on lifeguard duty for Camp Blue Maple, I can’t help but gaze over at his sexy washboard abs.

Mmm…he’s so hot.

As a matter of fact, right now I can see the ridges of his abs through the thin camp counselor t-shirt that he’s wearing.
