Junior Snippets Volume One - Emily Ann Combs

    Psalm 139:5-7

You hem me in, behind and before, and lay Your Hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high; I cannot attain it. Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? Psalm 139:5-7.

The understanding that you surround me on every side, hemming me in close to You, gives me great joy. I cannot get away from You. You put your hand gently on my shoulder.

As a child, I loved to read instead of taking a nap. I hid under my pink bedspread. I asked Mother if God could see through the pink bedspread. She assured me He could. I learned early that there is no place to hide from God.

No matter how far I travel or how dark it seems, God's hand leads me and holds me. This verse gives a picture of light in the new eternity of Heaven.

And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the LambRevelation 21:23.

O Lord, I pray for Your Hand to hold me and lead me through this sinful world to our God, who created Light, and Jesus, the Light of the World. I pray in the Name of Jesus, Amen.

"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." John 8:12

If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there, your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me. If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light about me be night, even the darkness is not dark to you; the night is bright as the day, for darkness is as light with you. Psalm 139:9-12.

    Psalm 40:3-4

He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord. Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust, who does not turn to the proud, to those who go astray after a lie! Psalm 40:3-4.

Worship of our Lord God happens when we recognize God's Presence, as Jacob did.

"Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land. For I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you." Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, "Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.Genesis 28:15-16.

Praising the Lord when we put our trust and faith in our Lord. Then we sing a new song with our hearts tuned to Him. Great is Thy faithfulness, Morning by morning, new mercies I see, All I have needed, Thy hand hath provided!

Our Father in Heaven, I praise You and give thanks that You are my Help and my Deliverer in all things. Walk with me this day. I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen.

I remember the days of old; I meditate on all that you have done; I ponder the work of your hands.I stretch out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Psalm 143:5-6.

Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised. Psalm 48:1a.

But may all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; may those who love Your salvation say continually, Great is the Lord! As for me, I am poor and needy, but the Lord takes thought for me. You are my help and my deliverer; do not delay, O my God! Psalm 40:16-17.

    Ephesians 1:7-10

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace, which He lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of His will, according to His purpose, which He set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in Him, things in Heaven and things on earth. Ephesians 1:7-10.

Redemption describes God's love and forgiveness for us, and we sing, "I know Who holds tomorrow, And I know Who holds my hand." Our Lord God's love is expressed in His grace's riches through Christ Jesus, which He gives us. God's will be done on earth as it is in Heaven to unite all things in Him.

Where is truth? Can we discern the truth through the clamor of the world's lies? Word of Truth is the gospel of our Salvation as we believe and trust in Him.

Oh, Lord, our God, open our eyes and ears to your Word only. The Comforter, the Holy Spirit, seals our eternal inheritance. I pray for the wisdom to know the everlasting Truth. In the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.

He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God. Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Psalm 62:6-8.

In Him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in Him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, Who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of His glory. Ephesians 1:13-14.

    Psalm 20:4-5

May He grant you your heart's desire and fulfill all your plans! May we shout for joy over your salvation, and in the name of our God set up our banners! May the Lord fulfill all your petitions. Psalm 20:4-5.

    ––––––––

Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act. Psalm 37:3-4.

Then His Joy fills our hearts just knowing we matter to our Lord God. He proves His 'all-out' love in many ways, and we sing, Oh, how He Loves us

Who do we trust? What do we care most about? It is nothing we can buy. Our eternal security and salvation were paid for on the cross with the blood of Jesus Christ.

Our Father in Heaven, strengthen my belief daily in your Glory and Grace. Only in You can I become a little child and learn to trust in You and Your never-ending Love. I rejoice in every moment of Your Presence. I love You! I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen.

The Lord is my strength and my shield; in Him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to Him. The Lord is the strength of His people; He is the saving refuge of His anointed. Psalm 28:7-8.

Let us come into His presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to Him with songs of praise! Psalm 95:2.

Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy Heaven with the saving might of His right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright. Psalm 20:6-8.

    Ephesians 1:4-5

He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us for adoption to Himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of His will. Ephesians 1:4-5.

God had each of us in mind before He created anything. That makes us chosen and first in God's thinking.

He chose us for a purpose - to be holy and blameless before us. And He chose us to be adopted as sons through Jesus Christ for our redemption from sin.

How often the Old Testament teaches us about His redeeming love in the lives of Noah, Daniel, Abraham, and more listed in the chapter of faith, Hebrews 11.

And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him. Hebrews 11:6.

What is redemption? Forgiveness of our sins and the riches of His Saving Grace. God sent Jesus to teach us the mysteries of His will.

Oh Lord our God, You alone are mighty enough to love and forgive me.

You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book? Psalm 56:8.

Teach me to love others, and give You my thoughts and praise only. In the Name of Jesus, your Son, Amen.

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort. 2 Corinthians 1:2-3.

In Him, we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace, which He lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of His will, according to His purpose, which He set forth in Christ. Ephesians 1:7-9.
