About the writer
Hi, I’m Ema, a classroom charmer, an education punk, and most of all, a passionate storyteller at the beating heart of education.
For over a decade, I have walked the halls and danced between classroom desks, armed with stories and visions, with the sole purpose of transforming learning into an experience that leaves a mark.
My adventure as a teacher began under the gray skies of Milan, where my roots as a creative experimenter and my thirst for change merged with my vocation as a teacher.
I have always believed that education is much more than filling minds; for me, education is lighting fires, drawing smiles on the face of the future, cultivating dreams and nurturing hopes.
My motivation?
Simple, but profound.
I want every student who crosses my path to see knowledge not as a burden, but as a wing with which to fly.
I want my classrooms to be gardens where curiosity and passion flourish, where every question is a seed and every answer is rain.
Most of all, I want to share with you, colleagues from every corner of the world, the strategies I have discovered and refined - a treasure trove accumulated over the days and nights spent experimenting, failing, bouncing back, and celebrating every small victory.
The decision to put these pages on paper (or, rather, screen) stems from an irrepressible need to share.
I firmly believe that as teachers, we are weavers of the same fabric, artists of a vast educational mosaic.
To share my knowledge, my stories, my successes and failures is to weave with you a future in which education is more vibrant, more engaging, more human.
This text is an invitation to journey with me beyond convention, beyond the confines of the traditional classroom, into a world where learning is adventure, discovery, excitement.
It is a gift I give to each of you in the hope that it will inspire you to find your own narrative voice, to shake up the system, to revolutionize learning.
Because in the end, it is not the pages we turn that matter, but the stories we live and share.
With affection and a touch of rebellion,
Ema
Welcome to the revolution of storytelling in education.
Hello to you, the curious and innovative soul who holds this guide in your hands.
My name is Ema, and I am here to share with you an incredible journey, an adventure that will change the way you see and experience education.
Because, believe me, teaching is much more than imparting knowledge; it is a true art, an act of continuous creation that involves the heart and mind of both the teacher and the learner.
I have always wondered how I could make my lessons unforgettable, how I could ensure that each student would leave the classroom not only more knowledgeable, but also more inspired, more alive.
The answer, my friend, is in the power of story.
Yes, because before we are teachers, we are storytellers: keepers of stories, explorers
