The Shadow Monster #6 Huton Daily - X.R. Balzan

    Chapter 1

    1997 16th of April.

He’s gone, Jaxon said, relieved for once. He finished his father's legacy. He killed the beast—the demon.

I can’t believe we killed him, Jess said, sitting down on the wooden floor, blood stains strewn across it.

Jaxon joined her on the floor as he wrapped his hand across her neck, slightly clenching her shoulder. There was more to do. Where was Charlie and Jan. What was that on Chad’s chest-

Hey, what's that! Jaxon said, scuring down to Chad’s body.

Jaxon rubbed Chad’s smooth old skin as he grabbed what appeared to be a book from Chad’s chest. The title read ‘Shankle’s Diary’.

Jan, read this. I’ll look around, and see if theirs anything we need to know. He said.

But we killed him. What else is there? She asked.

There's more, about 2 or so more. Grung and him!

What! She yelled. First of all, how do you know this-

    Chad.

    Who's him?

    Lord Alijuko.

    Who’s-

Grung is the one who transformed Shankle.

    Transformed-

Just read the diary. It should have all the information you need.

Jaxon threw the book at Jess as he shifted to the other side of the room. Jaxon could hear the pages of the diary being flipped every minute. Papers. Ink. Pens. all on the desk. A wooden desk. Something stood out the most to Jaxon. A large pile of newspapers bound together with a title page and notes after issues. Jaxon grabbed the paper and flipped it, he then read Huton News: Compiled by Grung And Shankle On the front cover. All the newspapers were written out again, with a copy of the original newspaper and the new one appearing. The second one replaces the font with Times New Roman and has changed from old to new English. It was printed in this format: The date, author, original newspaper title, section title, year, the section or clip from the section and then notes by Shankle. The first newspaper was from the 16th century, written by a man called ‘Sir John Snowike’. The section read as follows:

3 men were spotted brutally sluttered on a farm by a dagger of some sort. The government says their name was unknown. No more evidence has been revealed to the public currently but it soon should be announced.

    Notes:

Man's names were Fedrick Cilsenbly, John Julikan I and Sir Gladion of Norux (A secret government that went in hiding in the 17th century. The group is long gone from what we know).

The three men were not turned but bodies were taken by us and stored deep into our base to be sealed into the ground for centuries.

No more info was found, but we have retrieved the dagger and it lies in Waren’s grave, being a descendant of the killer of the three men.

Jaxon flipped through to the next page, noticing small droplets of ink splattered in the bottom right corner. The next report was from the 17th century. The author was unknown but it read:

100 children were found killed out front of the Russian governor's house. His wife was the first to look at it, reporting it 2 hours later. The governor's guards had been on patrol since the scene was reported.

More information will be announced shortly, but one thing is for sure. There is a killer out there.

    Notes:

It is not stated in any of the papers but this was by the author Sir John Snowike.

Jaxon could feel the hot air exist out of his body as he continued to the next page. This one was from the 17th century again, with a note left with smooth ink, not being readable from a telescope. The words at the top said 1616.

Shakespeare dead! New has come to the world that Willam Shakespeare has died.
