Avant-Propos
Eating clean is as easy as it seems. There are no machinery, no packaging that ends up in landfills, and just basic, uncomplicated food. It’s practically the opposite, a throwback to the past when families still farmed or cultivated their own food or traded fresh commodities with their neighbors. We consumed this home-cooked meal in a matter of hours. There you have it—clean eating.
It may be difficult to understand, but people consume a lot more artificial pseudo-food than they perform any activities that could be beneficial to their health. Food processing uses a wide range of chemicals to guarantee that packaged items have a long shelf life. Attempt placing a box of Imagine putting that processed food in your body and how hard it would be for it to break down. When your body does break it down, it just consists of a few simple carbohydrates that enter and exit your body quickly, leaving you hungry in a matter of minutes.
The clean eating approach is more of a shift in perspective about what we eat than a strict diet. Our fast food options are endless, so where we are when it’s time for a meal or what’s most convenient to grab on the go can have a big impact on what we eat. What we need is knowledge that not all food is created equal, and that eating.
