Idid it. I fucking did it. I finally landed my dream job. But hold on… it’s not what you think. Let me take you back to just a few months ago to when I was an innocent and wide-eyed candidate in a high-profile marketing agency. Yeah, I know what you’re thinking… innocent my sweet ass. But I was and naïve. Damn, did that all change.
It started on very my first day. The tension that it is. Here I was arriving early, spying one of the best parking spots in the building’s lot and thinking what a hot shit I’d be for starting before anyone else until this candy apple red convertible pulled up behind me.
A dude about the same age as me, late twenties, stepped out of the convertible and started yelling at me. Spiked, gelled dark hair, earrings in both ears, wearing a very expensive-looking Polo shirt and a fancy watch on his wrist, he looked like he just stepped out of a men’s catalog.
"What the fuck do you think you’re doing? He stood just inches away from my driver’s side door.
Do you know who I am? I park here every morning. I’m always the first one to get here and this is my space, you asshole."
My heart thumped in my ears and my entire body trembled. I couldn’t let go of my steering wheel. I was terrified, palms damp, pulse racing, sweat on my forehead. I had no idea what to do. I tried to get a word out but he was still yelling at me.
