The key to mastering Slicing in Cricut Design Space is to remember that you can only slice two elements, separating one from the other.

I understand this might seem obvious, but bear with me. Sometimes, we overlook the fact that we have more than one layer and attempt to Slice, only to find it won’t allow us to proceed.

Check the right-hand side of the canvas; how many layers do you see there? I see three. Can you see that?

So, when you attempt to Slice, ensure you have only two
